Baguio Minister's Conference, October 1956. Left to right: Max Atienza, Proceso Marcelo, Lydia Castro, Kay Bronson, Celia Marcelo, Anacleto Lacanilao. In the early days, FEBC promoted the value of radio as a means of expanding the influence of the church. The map on the wall behind shows the great concern in those days for the spread of atheistic communism in Asia. According to a note on the reverse, the photo was perhaps taken by Dr. Bob Pierce of World Vision.

The FEBC slide collection contains many unidentified photos in terms of content, location or year. However, the assumption is that posed groups of people are FEBC listeners. Year is often determined by approximating age of known staff members. Staff member (PM department head) Isabelo Montejo is at the back.

Reverse: "Stephen K. Shao, graduate of the Nanking Conservatory of Music, Director of the China Sacred Music School, the inspiration and back bone of the HK Music Training Centre for the blind. He gives his full time gratis."

Our guess is that Mr. Shao (Shao Kuang) is the same person appearing in #43, 151 and 408 (Shanghai), where his "English" name was "David K. Shao. His associations in Shanghai were in Nanking. He, Rev. Leland Wang, and others left China for Hong Kong when the PRC was declared in 1949.
