The location is the front door of the famous building on Hyperion Blvd. in Hollywood (Los Angeles)  [see #881] Bob sings baritone in the quartet known as the "Crew of the Good Ship Grace." It is here that Bob acquired his knowledge of radio, and understood the value that the medium has in reaching people with the gospel.

The short wave antenna system at Bocaue, completed in 1999, was part of a major project fully completed in 2005, and was the result of ten years of planning, labor, and fund raising. The towers are anchored to pilings which "float" in the estuary mud, thanks to the instalation of geotextiles which allow the tidewaters to rise and fall without removing the soil. The system serves Indonesia, SouthEast Asia and China.

A dramatic view of the crowd assembled in the Luneta, at the First Philippines International Fair in 1953. The famed Rizal monument can be made out at the base of the tall flagpole, which is in alignment with the Fair’s arch symbol. DZAS maintained a broadcasting faclity in booths 28/30, and distributed thousands of pieces of literature, which generated 1000 requests for Bible correspondence courses in the first two weeks. Details in the May 1953 Broadcaster . It is not known how this elevated view was obtained.

Philippine mountain (Bontoc) tribespeople. FEBC worked with many missionary agencies to provide broadcasting for many of these people groups, using "PM" radios. The origin of this and similar photos in the FEBC collection is not certain. This series of photos (902-905) are from a set of transparencies marked "H.I." The year is often discerned by the type of Kodak slide mountings.

A brilliant photograph of Max Atienza and Anacleto Lacanilao, the main indigenous leadership of FEBC Philippines in the early years. The photo appears to have been taken in the old administration building. The quality of the photo (Ektachrome) suggests it was taken by Byrd Brunemeier. The slide scanned is the original.

The people in this photograph are as yet unidentified, but they are clearly one of the many cooperating Christian groups in Manila that provided some broadcasting on DZAS. Here they appear to be rehearsing their scripts.
