Ambassador and Mrs. Tiburcio Baja listen to FEBC on their Hallicrafters multiband radio. Tiburcio Baja was Philippine ambassador/consulate general to many countries including London. The Bajas were faithful supporters of FEBC since its founding. During World War II, Tiburcio's voice of encouragement was heard in the Philippines over historic KGEI (q.v.), fifteen years before FEBC purchased the station.

A 300 KVA diesel generator was needed to power the KSBU 100,000 watt transmitter installed at Okuma, Okinawa. The Chicago Pneumatic unit, shown here at the location from which it was purchased, was bought by FEBC for $15,534 around the beginning of 1960. The unit weighed 25 tons.
