1954   Members of the Chinese Vesper Hour (Amoy), including Mrs. Chua Kian Tiang, pose for a photo in Studio "C." Date is not certain, but the U.S. flag shows pre-1959 48 stars. In the early days, FEBC's development depended largely on U.S. donors and personnel. Also prominent in early photos is the "Truth/Freedom banner," which was an early local motto. Some missionary movements after WII were stimulated in part by the concern for the spread of atheistic communism in Asia.
