1948   FEBC-Manila missionaries greet the arrival of a ship at the Manila docks. Following WW2, most staff traveled across the Pacific by freighter, bringing their possessions in 55 gallon drums (in the lower right hand corner) with removable lids. The trip from the west coast of the U.S. to Manila took approximately three weeks without intervening stops. This photo is possibly related to #362, which shows John Broger (in white suit and hat) on the PFEL's California Bear.
