1950   DZAS tower under construction in 1950. Close examination of this transparency reveals that the construction boom is severely twisted, and a nearby tower girder is bent. On May 9 of this year, at the 75 foot level, the collapsing boom narrowly missed Byrd Brunemier, hitting a plank on which he was standing. Unfortunately, the boom rebounded, delivering a fatal blow to hired rigger Matring de Leon.
