December 2004
From C.T., USA via e-mail
I’m happy to say that I have now gone back to a very good habit, which is listening to Nguon Song broadcast. I found your broadcast by chance, and I believe that it will help me walk with the Lord, no longer being afraid or lonely. I recognized one familiar voice in the broadcast that is the pastor who is doing the program “In Christ’s Footstep.” He was my teacher at a Vacation Bible School when I was a youth in my church. I would like to send special greetings to him. I have now come to live in the US, alone. I’m depending on God for strength and guidance. I’ll try to listen to your programs more regularly, because I know that it will give me much benefit in the nurturing of my faith. I thank you all for your endeavor to proclaim the Gospel message to people throughout the world. I thank God that I am able to connect with you once again. May the Lord bless you and your ministries.
From N.H.V., via e-mail
Greetings! I am a listener from Vietnam. I would like to request a copy of the lesson “Praying for your husband” from the Women’s Program, broadcast today. You can just send it to my e-mail address. Thank you very much and God bless.
Pastor N.D.L., Tam Ky via e-mail
Thank you for sending me a radio and books. I am very glad to have received them. I also received the additional radios and will forward them to the addresses you provided. Near my house there is a man who came to know the Lord through Nguon Song, and now he is a very strong Christian. He recently came to see me, and I asked him if he still listens to Nguon Song. He said that he is very disappointed because his radio doesn’t work and he is unable to tune in to Nguon Song’s broadcast. He is trying to save his money to buy a new radio. I was really touched by what he said. He is very grateful for Nguon Song. I gave him the book that you sent to me (Building a Strong Family). Please pray for him so that God will soon save his wife and children also. If possible, can you send him a radio just like the one you sent to me?
At the church that I am pastoring, there are some new believers that also really want to listen to your broadcast, but they are too poor to afford a radio. If possible, can you send me about 10 radios as gifts for them? This way they can hear God’s Word everyday. God bless you so that you can continue to proclaim the Gospel to our people.
Father T.Q.T., Can Tho via e-mail
I am a Catholic priest who has been listening to the Nguon Song broadcast for a very long time. You have many wonderful programs, but I cannot remember it all. Can you please send me some printed materials? I would like to request the lessons from the Women’s Program and the Marriage and Family Program. Of course, there are still a lot of other lessons that I would like to request from you, but for now, please send me the two I have requested because I need them now to help the believers in my church. May you prosper according to God’s Will. May God watch over each and every one of you.
Mr. L.M.H, Can Tho via e-mail
I wrote to you not too long ago to request a Bible and some books. I don’t know if you received that letter yet. I am very glad to be a Nguon Song listener. I think it would be a good idea for you to set up a post office box here in Vietnam. There are two good reasons for it: 1. It would cost less for listeners to write to you and 2. Letters are less likely to be lost in the mail. Merry Christmas to you all!
Mrs. N.T.N.B., via e-mail
I thank God for prompting you to write to me amidst your busy schedule. Thank you also for sending me such beneficial material. I have received 3 lessons in Vietnamese that I will print out to read. May God continue to bless you to comfort me during my time of trial, I really need your prayers and words of encouragement. I pray for Nguon Song staff regularly. I listen to Nguon Song everyday. I didn’t have the means to listen until just recently. May God bless your work abundantly.
Mr. L.T.L., Hoc Mon
Thank God that I am well. I wrote to you long ago to request some material. I waited for months but never saw it come, and I was really disappointed. Then recently I received a music cassette tape of Nguon An Binh #7. I was overjoyed, because I knew that my letter had reached its destination, and God answered my prayers. I write this letter now to thank you. Please remember me in your prayers. And may God bless you in every way.

Because of my work and busy schedule, I am not a regular Nguon Song listener. I really like the Marriage Preparation Program for the young people broadcast on Wednesday mornings, and the Women’s Program every Thursday. I know that these programs help to strengthen families, through love and understanding. Broken relationships and divorce are avoided. If possible, can you send me the lessons from these two programs? Thank you very much.
Mr. A.N., Dak Lak
My family and I have been looking forward to your letter for a long time. Praise the Lord I received your letter on 09-24-04. Thank you for your precious gift. I thank you very much. I have been a Nguon Song listener since 1967. The first broadcaster I knew by name was Mrs. Hoang Bich. I thank God that I live with Him every second, minute, hour, enjoying Him every day. God bless you. The condition of my family (and of a number of other Christians) now is just like those in the early church: scattered everywhere, not allowed to gather for worship. Some have denounced their faith, while others follow government officials and turn around to persecute their fellow Christians. Bibles and hymnals are being confiscated... But Psalm 23 is my source of strength and comfort: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”... Please remember us in your prayers. Thank you.
Mrs. N.T.M., Ho Chi Minh City
I was so glad to receive your letter. I thank God that you are well and so devoted to your listeners. I have really been encouraged by your love for me. I have often wanted to write to you, but I imagine that you are very busy and didn’t want to add to your burden. Even so, I have continued to pray for you, that God would give you strength and grace so that Nguon Song’s ministry would grow, and that the Gospel would be proclaimed throughout the world. Please also pray for me, so that I might have the opportunity to be a witness for Christ and bring many people to Him.
This past year I was unable to hear the voices of Nguon Song. I thought that my radio was broken, but even after it was fixed, I couldn’t tune in to your broadcast, so I gave up. I have received all of your letters. Thank you very much for that. Thank you for taking time out for me in your busy schedules.
Mr. T.V.C., Ho Chi Minh City
I am a long-time listener of Nguon Song who has written many letters that never been sent to you. I was really glad to hear that the church in the highlands is growing, and that you play an important role in that. I have met many people who have told me they met the Lord through Nguon Song, and that their faith grows through listening daily to the teaching of God’s Word. In the past year, my family has faithfully prayed for your ministry. Today I thank God for giving me a small part in this work.
In Vietnam, the tribal people listen to Nguon Song a lot. Vietnamese people listen to it a little less, because there are many tempting things in this world that distract them.
Thank you, because through your ministry, our family’s faith has grown.
Mr. Y.D., Dak Lak
I thank you for broadcasting in our Bu Nong dialect. This is so precious to us. This is how every tongue, and every tribe in the whole world will receive everlasting life. When I first listened to the broadcast I was so happy, even though I couldn’t hear it very clearly. After that I tried really hard to tune in to a clearer signal, but was unable to hear any better. That is one of the reasons that not very many people listen. Either the signal or the radio is not good. Sometimes it’s the weather. Can you please broadcast more programs in the Bu Nong dialect, including gospel songs? We cannot understand other languages.
Mr. Y.N., Dak Lak
I was very glad to hear Nguon Song broadcasting in the Bu Nong/ Mnong dialect while I was at my neighbor’s house last Easter. Maybe other people have often listened to these programs, but this was the first time I heard teachings of such wonderful spiritual matters. I don’t have a radio to listen to God’s Word. Moreover, I live far from the city. I was disappointed to find your program was so short.
We hope that you will give the Bu Nong people more broadcast time, so that we will understand more about the Bible. We also listen to the hymns, but they are not in our dialect, so we listen to the music only. We need praise songs in our own language. Even though we have family devotion time when we read the Bible, we can’t understand these Bible passages. I really want to listen to Nguon Song, but can only listen when I go to my neighbor’s house, which is not very often. Please pray for me, that I might have the means to listen to your program more often, so that I will grow spiritually.
