November 2004
From Mr. V.N.N.T., Tanzania, Africa, via e-mail
I have been doing missionary work for the Catholic Church in Africa for many years now. By chance, I heard your broadcast last night. I was so glad to hear my mother tongue again. Even more, it was so good to hear the Bible teachings being broadcast to my homeland. I think that we are people of different churches, but we are all children of God, and our mission is to proclaim the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. One thing I hope we can do is to help each other in this sacred mission. We need to unite. If we are divided, Satan will come between us to destroy us. This is the very reason Jesus prayed that we would be one. Please also pray for me. God bless you.
From Mrs. D.P., Memphis, Tennessee, via e-mail
I work for a computer company and have 2 young children. And I also have a husband who goes out drinking all hours of the day and night. This leaves me with a lot of time to study God’s Word. I really like to listen to the teaching of God’s Word through Vietchristian.net and to read the material posted on this website. God has laid it on my heart to record these messages and make copies to share with others at my church. There are many people who have access to the Internet, but that doesn’t mean that they go there to hear God’s Word, and those who do not have Internet access don’t have the opportunity. So, over the past few months, I have made hundreds of CD’s, and everyone really likes them. It is my hope that everyone will replace the secular music in the cars with these CD’s.
I told the people at my church that if they’re too busy to read or study the Bible, they can listen to these CD’s while doing their work. Even those who have been Christians for a long time and who teach the classes at church, they too have learned a lot through these CD’s. They say that many of the sermons really touch their hearts. New believers enjoy it too. They say, “We learn, and then we try to apply what we’ve learned.” Others have told me that now, when they drive, they no longer listen to secular music. Praise God!
God’s strength and the desire to see others study the Bible have helped me to do this work. Money is not an issue, but it is very time consuming. After downloading the programs, I have to print labels for the CD’s and also for the cases, so that they can be arranged in order. I try to download Nguon Song’s program every day.
I do this, not for myself, but only for God. God blesses me through your ministry, and I want to bless others in the same way. I have not been selling these CD’s, but I was wondering if I was breaking any of your copyright rules. People who have received these CD’s have told me that they receive blessings by them too.
May God bless you all, so that you may be a blessing to many people in the world. I would also like to contribute monthly to Nguon Song’s ministry. Where should I send the money?
From Mr. L.H., Ha Noi, via e-mail
I am a member of the church in Ha Noi. I am always glad to be able to hear Nguon Song’s broadcast. Thank God that we have the same faith and the same Heavenly Father. I don’t know how Nguon Song got started, and am very curios about your history. Please give me some information about the beginning of this ministry. I am a Christian musician serving the Lord in Ha Noi. When I hear praise music on your broadcast, and I was really touched. I hope, if possible, that I might also be able to participate in praising the Lord with you. I just made my first music CD. It might also be the first CD in North Vietnam. I hope that I can work together with you so that some day soon the Lord will revive our beloved nation. Amen!
Mr. N.M.N., Vinh Long, via e-mail
I am a Christian who has grown so much through listening to Nguon Song. I have been enjoying your program since my youth. Thank you for always providing wonderful programs for your listeners. Many nights, I listen to your program and find many profitable teachings from the Bible. There are a lot of things that I don’t understand, but through your programs, I have a better grasp of the Scriptures. Please send me “Following Christ’s Footsteps,” which was just broadcast today. And if possible, please send me all the lessons in this series. Thank you.
Mrs. P.T.J., Virginia, USA, via e-mail
I have been a listener for a little over a month now. Everyday I get to listen to Bible sermons and praise songs. They are a real encouragement for my spiritual life. Because of my circumstances, I have to live far from my own family, and don’t know a lot of English. I can’t attend a Vietnamese church, because they are too far. Everyday I listen to Nguon Song to learn more and to be closer to God. I have tried to write down some of the lessons, but am not quick enough to catch it all. If possible, please send me some of your teachings from the Bible, especially the lessons on Conflict in Marriage and Marriage Preparation, etc., because I am newly married, and don’t have a lot of experience. May God bless you.
(2nd e-mail) I also like the series from the women’s program. Please send me those also. Thank you.
Mr. N.D.L., Quang Nam, via e-mail
Our church is still doing well. We always listen to Nguon Song, and are constantly reminding others both inside and outside the church to tune in also. In our monthly prayer meeting for the pastors in Quang Nam, I always request that we pray for the Nguon Song staff. May God use you in a special way for His Kingdom.
We are currently in need of a significant amount of money for our Christmas outreach programs. We would be so happy if you could help us. We would really appreciate it.
Mrs. N.T.T.H., via e-mail
I listen to Nguon Song regularly, but my radio has been broken, so I haven’t listened recently. I was so glad to learn your e-mail address, and will write to you more often. We have been Christians for almost 5 years. Many thanks to you, pastors. Because of Nguon Song, my faith and my daughter’s faith grow stronger everyday.
I once wrote to you, and you responded in your broadcast. Thank you very much. I used to be Catholic. Since the death of my husband, God has brought my daughter and me back to His Church. We have been Christians ever since, and now my mother and my sister are also believers. We have been condemned and persecuted by the entire Catholic community, but we are still strong in our faith. Last week you played such wonderful praise songs! We don’t have those songs at our church. Can you send those songs to me over the Internet? I wish you had another program that taught praise music.
My daughter wishes that there would be children’s program to teach them about God. There are a lot of families where the parents are too busy with life to nurture their children’s spiritual lives. I really like the voice of the pastor who does the “Following Christ’s Footsteps” program. God bless you all.
Mr. P.N.A., Ho Chi Minh City, via e-mail
I am a Christian in Ho Chi Minh City and a regular Nguon Song listener. I would like to request some lessons to use as a reference for my Bible study. Please send me the following:
-History of Missions (from the first lesson to the most current)
-Marriage and Family (the lessons regarding Marriage Preparation)
If you have devotionals available on both the Old and New Testaments, please send me these also. Thank you very much.
Mr. L.T.L., Hoc Mon
First of all, let me introduce myself. I was born in 1956, and have been crippled in both legs since the age of 2. I am now repair electronics for a living. I have been listening to Nguon Song regularly for many years now, even before you changed to the new schedule. I recently heard 2 lessons that I found very beneficial: Basic Christianity and Basic Theology. But I missed a couple of the broadcasts. I live alone, and I worship God by myself. Because of my disability, I cannot go any place where there are steps. So I listen to Nguon Song at night, and that is my worship time in church.
Please pray for me, that God will forgive my sins and not abandon me. May God bless you, because you have used your time and energy to proclaim the name of Christ throughout the earth. God bless you abundantly. Please remember that I am here all alone, calling on God.
Mr. N.Q., Quang Ngai
I am so glad to receive your admonishments and teachings. Your letters are very encouraging. I received only your letter the other materials that you promised were not included. Please send me the book “Pilgrim’s Progress.” I am always so happy to receive your letters or materials. I have received lessons 1 and 3 – 9 of the “Streams in the Desert” series. I am still missing lesson 2. I don’t know what the last lesson in this series is. You are my fathers, mothers and teachers who guide me in my walk with God. I am a fisherman by trade, and everyday I just pray for clear day and calm waters.
I am a regular Nguon Song listener. Please send me a good radio, so that I can listen to you more easily.
Mrs. D.T.T.N., Quang Nam
I am very glad and honored to receive your letter. Thank you for the verse in Philippians 4:4–7. It is so true that the peace of God passes all our understanding. I was also excited to know that you had changed your schedule back to 8–9:30 PM. It is a really convenient time for me to listen. I promise to let other people know about this as well.
My husband and I serve God in the mountain area of Quang Nam. We will do pioneer work among the people of the Kotu tribe. Please pray for us. We are currently caring for about 150 people, counting both young and old. I used to be a government employee. I was laid off because of my ministries. However, no matter how difficult our lives become, we live for God and serve Him faithfully.
Maybe I should let you know my secret... We have been using your lessons and copying your teachings in our ministry with the church. This includes Marriage and Family, the Children’s Program, Women’s Program, etc. We are in need of 3 radios. If you can help us out, we would really appreciate it.
