1. Mrs. PTC, Nghe An
I am a listener who loves Nguon Song’s broadcast. I have known about Nguon Song Broadcast for five years, but I could not listen to it regularly because I live in a family with three different generations, which means three different tastes in listening. But in the past six months, I listened to you every night, not missing any broadcasting. If there was a night where I was away from home or if the signal was weak and I couldn’t listen to your program, I would be very saddened by missing such great teachings. Even though I am not a member of the Christian Church, I still wanted to write to you. May God give you good health and strength to continue to praise God and to teach the Word to those who love Him. Through Nguon Song’s Broadcast, I learned more about the Lord Jesus and the Christian Faith. I love the voices of each announcer even though names are not introduced on the programming.
I am now 47 years of age. My life had been filled with hardship and illness. In 1986, when I was 28, my husband left me for another woman. Although I was very sick, I had to work hard to support my two small children. At times I thought I would never make it. Now my son is married and I have a little grandchild. My son and his family no longer live with me, my daughter goes to college in another city. I now live all alone in this house with a big radio by my side. During the day I listen to Hanoi’s station and in the evenings, I always look forward to listening to Nguon Song Radio, the voice of love, truth and hope. Even though I am alone, I am not saddened by that fact but am encouraged because I feel as though that the Lord Jesus and all of you are by my side.
I still remember, it was on June 15, 2005, when I prayed to God, asking Him to heal me of all my ailments, and from that very day until now, I feel much better. For the most part, I can work as though I am perfectly normal. I know that the Lord Jesus has answered my prayers and has healed me. I strongly believe that. Do you know that your ministry is very effective? What you do not only glorifies God, teaches people about Him, but also comforts the sick, and draws people to Christ, the One who died for our sins and has risen to give us life now and for eternity. I truly love God and am grateful for Him. I regret that I came to know Him so late in my life where I had to experience so much pain and suffering without Him. Because of Nguon Song, I now have happy days like today: taking my grandchild to places and playing with him. I feel lighthearted and a sense of peace, which is something I never had before. From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank-you. You are so far away, I don’t know how else to express my appreciation. As for me, as a person who has just been saved, what is required of me for paying back God’s grace upon my life? Since I don’t belong to a local church, I don’t know what I should do. Apart from the practicing what Nguon Song teaches, do I need to join a church? My home is only about 3 km from a church. But one major obstacle is that I would have to cross a river to attend church. There are very few people who cross the river in this area. If I go to church, I would be all alone.
Your broadcast now is shorter than before. Every word that is spoken is very meaningful and helps the soul. Most nights, I can hear Nguon Song’s broadcast clearly, but it’s too short. I need more. The new frequency is easier to catch than the old frequency at 25mb. Though there are still days that I can’t find your signal on the airwaves .
In the past 7 years, I have suffered with a tumor in my throat. I felt like an outcast in my small community. I didn’t know what sins I have committed that I have to suffer so much like that. But Jesus is now my Savior. I hope that from now until the day I die, God would allow me to live with His peace and protection. You always say that we need to prepare for our journey into eternity. Is it too late for me to prepare? Once again, may God give you good health, peace and love to all of you.
If I could be so privileged to receive a personal letter from you, can you answer me the following questions?
1. When was FEBC established and how many languages does it broadcast around the world?
2. Are FEBC and Trans World Radio part of the same organization?
3. Please send me some of the beautiful songs used in your broadcast, such as …
Once again, I thank you and pray that your life will be filled with God’s lasting joy, peace and love.
2. Miss VTTV, Saigon
It has been a while since I had the opportunity to write. I do not know if you still remember me or not. I think not, simply because I’m sure you have so many things to do, and probably so many listeners to care for. Honestly, I will never forget those great moments when I could listen to your program three times a day. Back then, I was able to listen and take notes on all those lessons, which I still have today. Even though I do not have the opportunity to listen as much as before, I still treasure your broadcast like a close friend in the Lord. When the chance arises, I always encourage my friends to listen to Nguon Song Radio. To be honest, I have a hard time finding your frequency on the radio dial. I live in the city and it could be possible that there are so many interferences from other stations that I cannot pick up your signal. I am saddened when this happens. My time is wasted, I get frustrated and so I just quit listening. Last Thursday, I again tried my best to find the frequency. I tried from 5:30-5:50 AM, still could not pick up the broadcast, so I just gave up and turned off my radio because I know you only broadcast until 6:00 AM. One of the wishes I have in life is to be able to visit Nguon Song Headquarters, but I doubt that would be possible.
3. Mr. NT, Quang Nam
I was really moved to receive your letter. It shows that you really do care for your listeners. Thank God that He has used you in the past months and years to spread the Gospel to the people in Vietnam. Personally, I have been encouraged a lot through listening to God’s Word. It gives me joy when I see many people come to know Christ through Nguon Song broadcast and to see so many lives changed for the better through the living Word of God. I praise God that He has also used my life in past months and years. I also take part in evangelistic efforts for the K’dong people in Quang Nam highland area. Apart from visitation and teaching God’s Word to these people, we try to give radios to them and then lead them to listen to Nguon Song’s teachings so that they could grow in their knowledge of our Lord and stand strong in midst of trials and persecutions. From time to time, I still receive letters from you. I pray for your ministry regularly. I count it a great privilege to have a part in the endeavor of proclaiming the Gospel to a lost world.
4. Mr. VHD, Quang Nam
This morning, as I was preparing to leave my house, I received your letter. I was very happy to know that you still remember me. May God bless you in your ministry in proclaiming the Gospel and saving the lost. In the past, we did not receive any of your materials and had no idea why. And honestly, I have not been able to pick up the frequency for Nguon Song’s broadcasting. I do not understand why, but your signal is very weak. There are times when we can catch Nguon Songs signals and at other times it simply was not there, while other stations’ signals are relatively strong. Regardless of the challenge, we go out to the nearest Cyber Café (it is less expensive than having internet service at home) to download your programming. Though there are times when we can get to the website, and there are times when your website is inaccessible. I hope that you will be able to send me some of your materials. May God be with you all.
5. Mr. NVD, location unknown
Thank God, even though I have not written you for so long, you still remember me and write to me. You did not forget me, your brother in Christ and a faithful listener for many years. Praise God that FEBC has just celebrated its 57th Anniversary! 57 years of preaching the Gospel to the world. Thank you for praying for me, writing to me and even giving me stamps to write back! May God bless all of you. I have made copies of Nguon Song’s program guide to give to my friends. But for a long time, I have not been able to pick up your signal because your signal is very weak and not clear. I will still make time to attempt to pick up your broadcasting.
