1. From Misses D.T.K.L. and D.T.K.H., An Hiep
First of all, I hope that you are all in good health. These days, I am very glad that you have changed your frequency, so I have very good reception of your signal, much better than before. I thank God because He has heard the prayers of His children. I have received the 2000 Calendar, and have also written you a thank you note, but you probably didn't receive it. I also heard in the "Listeners' Mailbag" program that you sent me something earlier this month, but I still have not received it. Thank you for praying for me and teaching me God's Word daily through Nguon Song broadcast. I will always be grateful to you, for you are like parents to me, teaching me what I need to know.
** Dear Pastor, my older sister started to write this letter, but then she became ill and has been unable to continue. On behalf of my sister, I would like to add a few words. I would be very grateful if you could pray for my sister so that she would be well again. May God be with you and may His blessings increase with each day so that you can teach us His Word. Thank you very much.
2. From Miss D.T.H., Quang Nam
I am very glad to be able to converse with you in writing like this. First of all, I pray that God will give you good health and strength to serve Him each day. I really thank God for giving me the opportunity to listen to His Word over the airwave daily, and also to correspond with you. I have only been listening to your program for a little less than 3 months. Sometimes it is very difficult to listen to your program due to interference from other stations. Please remember to also pray for my church, because we are always being persecuted, especially during the Christmas season. To me, God's Word is too deep and mysterious, and I'm just a teenager, so I don't understand a lot of it. Please pray for me. Please also send me some lessons so that I can learn more about the Bible, especially the lessons on Marriage Preparation and the lessons about Jesus' Disciples. I hope you can reply to this letter when you receive it. Thank you.
3. From Mr. D.B., Binh Phuoc
I am 18 years old this year, and hope that you can help me so that when I enter into a relationship, it will be strong and lasting. I believe there are a lot of ways you can help me. First of all, you can pray for me that God will bless me and forgive me for all my sins. Secondly, it is my wish to have the book on marriage, so you can send me the "Foundations of a Happy Marriage" lessons, so that I will not stumble in my life by following my own ideas. When I listen to your broadcasts, I desire to live my life according to what the Bible says. Everyday, I wish I had some of your material to read. So today I write this letter to you to ask you to pray for me and send me some lessons. Please also send me a music tape. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
4. From Miss L.T.T.H., Lang Son
It's been awhile since I've written to you, but I feel God leading me today to write to you. How are you? I wish you good health, and may you receive many blessings from the Almighty God. You have probably been waiting to hear from me, but I hope you understand my situation. Quite awhile ago, I sent you one letter, but it probably has not reached you yet, as I live very far from the city. You are my friends, but because of my financial situation, I am unable to send letters overseas. It's very costly.
5. From Mr. P.T.V.S., Lang Son
I am a Christian. I was saved on August 22, 1995. Right now, I have 2 hymnals, 2 New Testaments, but no Old Testaments yet. I would like to have a Bible with both the Old and New Testaments to study. Please help us, we are from the Red Dao Tribe. Please send us some program guides, so we can follow your broadcasts daily. And please send us some pastor's handbooks or manuals to officiate ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, home dedications, Christmas, Easter, New Year's, etc. We have been believers for a long time, but are going through much persecution. When government officers oppress us, we don't know where to turn to or what to pray. We really hope you would pray for us as we go through difficult situations and would help us with whatever you can so that we can grow in our faith. We would especially like to have some tapes of programs broadcast on Nguon Song radio. We have sent many letters, but have not heard you mention anything about them. Please pray for us.
6. From Mr. N.D.L., Quang Nam
Greetings! May God bless you in your endeavor to bring the Good News to our people and to nurture the faith of the Christians here in Vietnam. I would like to have a picture of your staff, so if there is one available, can you please send it to me? Thank you for sending me the lessons, "Satan in Today's World, # 7," "Peace with God, # 7," and "Sermon on the Mount, #7." I have received them all. Please continue to send me the next lessons, together with the series "Words of Hope" of this year. Thank you in advance. I continue to listen to Nguon Song and Transworld Radio regularly. I have received much nurturing by these two stations. In my area there was recently a 45-year old man who came to the Lord through listening to Nguon Song Radio. He is now fellowshipping at our church... news to encourage you.
7. From Mr. H.V.T.D., Khanh Hoa
I was very glad to receive your letter and sincerely thank you for your added efforts since I gave you an incorrect address. I am a college student. At present I am unable to listen to your broadcasts, but this is my new address, and I hope you will write to me again.
8. From Mrs. H.T.R., Ho Chi Minh City
I received your letter on July 5, 2000, thank you. I was very glad to receive your material from the Philippines office. May God continue to bless you.
9. From Miss N.T.D.P., Dong Nai
Since I do not have a radio, I've not been able to listen to your radio broadcast for a very long time, so now writing to you I don't know whom to send my letter to. I am a young woman, member of the youth group of a small church in a small town in the countryside. Our youth group is small and dying due to the fact that we do not have a program that would meet the needs of our young people. Writing you today, I would like to ask for some material or Bible lessons that were prepared especially for people of our age group. We need something like lessons on marriage and family, stories of how all the hymns or gospel songs were written, or just anything that would be interesting to the young people. We really need this kind of material so please send us some. Thank you.
