Responses from Vietnamese Listeners

June, 2006

1. From VT - via e-mail from Tanzania

Nguon Song is my daily spiritual nourishment even as far and remote as Tanzania . Today, I will be going to work in the afternoon and that means I will be missing your evening broadcast. It feels as though I will be missing a meal. Nguon Song has helped me over the years as I've lived in Africa . I lived in Zambia and Uganda . Now I have been in Tanzania for several years. And in Tanzania , I don't have internet access at home and therefore all my listening and e-mailing is done at an internet café. The difficult part is that in order for me to listen I have no choice but to go out there since the airwaves at my home is so poor. May God give you grace and wisdom to continue glorifying him through the medium that he has blessed you with.

2. From NHQ - via e-mail

I would like to say thank-you for your devotions to this ministry with Nguon Song. God will never forget your love for the listeners. The things that you are doing will last forever because it has helped me and has helped the rest of the world to inherit the kingdom of God , the everlasting life, through faith in Christ Jesus. I have consistently read and listened to sermons/programming from your website for a while now. Even though I work a long ways from home and don't have the chance to listen often, I thank God that through your programming, God has still kept me strong in my faith and in my relationship with Him. Once again, I thank God and thank all of you. I recently heard that there such things as Commentaries on CD-Rom. If this is true, can you send me one?

3. From TL - via e-mail from Nam Dinh

I'm always happy when I receive news from you. It really encourages me. I haven't been able to connect with many Christians here, but I believe that one day there will be more believers here. I am praying for this to be true. Every month, I go up to Hanoi to fellowship with other believers. No one in my family is a believer. I am also praying that they would come to know Him as well. Currently, I am a college student. I love studying the Bible. I love growing in my faith. And I love listening to Nguon Song, and I listen on a regular basis. As I close this message, I would like to share with you a situation that needs prayer. My sister has a terminal illness. Please pray for her. Besides prayer, what else should I do? Please advise me and let me know if there is anything else I can do besides praying for her.

4. From DBL - via e-mail

Hoping that Nguon Song will be sending me some materials and resources soon. Thank you.

5. From NVK - via e-mail, Da Nang

I am an engineer working at the power plant here in Da Nang . I have been a Christian for almost a year. Thank God that He has saved me from the darkness of this world. I am fellowshipping regularly at my church, but there haven't been many opportunities to learn about the love of Christ. The first time I heard Nguon Song, it really encouraged me in my faith. I hope that I could listen on a regular basis. What could I do to be sure that I don't miss any of your daily broadcast? Please help me. Please pray for me. May God bless you.

6. From LTH - via e-mail, Finland

I have been a faithful listener for a very long time. I want to download messages and videos from your website but I don't know how. May God bless you with good health and peace.

7. From NXV - via e-mail, Da Nang

I pray that God blesses you and your ministry, and through you, everyday, God's people would come to 'green pastures and still waters' in God's Word through your voices and writings. I am a university student. Thank God that He has given me the opportunity to fellowship with a group of female factory workers in Da Nang . Thank God that through this group, I have been able to grow in my faith. Through this group, I now know my purpose in life. I hope to help future factory workers from rural areas that come here to work to know Christ. Currently where I stay, each Sunday afternoon, there are about 20 sisters who come together for worship and Bible study. The only thing is we don't have any resources to guide us. I hope that you could pray for us and help us by sending us resources that will help us. We really hope to get these resources. Thank you.

8. From PQL - via e-mail

Even though Mother's Day is over, we would like to have some Christian music relating to mothers. And since Father's Day is coming, it would be great if we had some music relating to fathers as well. Please send it to use through e-mail. Hope to hearing from you very soon.

9. From LNL - via e-mail

I would like to listen to the Women's program, especially the one that is about the Women of the Bible: Sapphira, Vashti, and Zipporah. Thank you and God bless you.

10. From LP - via e-mail

Can I have a copy of the program guide? I would like to know how to tune into your frequency as well. Recently, I turned on my radio to listen, but no success. Thank you.

11. From CB - Via e-mail, United Kingdom

I have a couple of documents that I believe may have come from your organization. One is the story of a teen named Joey who committed suicide because his mother was a workaholic, his father an alcoholic and his girlfriend became pregnant. In Vietnamese it is called, 'Teens and Suicide.' The second document talks about what makes up a stable family, 'Marks of a healthy family.' These are both excellent documents written and broadcasted in Vietnamese. I would like to know if you have more of these as I serve the Lord among Vietnamese Families in crisis. Can I also request permission to copy and use these materials in Southeast Asia ? Even if these are not your materials, I would still like to know if you can help me with good family life and kids in crisis materials in Vietnamese. Thank you.

12. From NQ - Via e-mail, Quang Ngai

Recently I wrote two letters to Nguon Song. I didn't want it to get lost, so I asked someone to send my letter through e-mail. Have you received it? It's been a while since I've heard your reply. Two months ago, I was injured while doing commercial fishing in the ocean. Please pray for me. Every morning I always remember to listen to your voices preaching God's word through the radio. Is it possible if you could give me a copy of this music -¦

13. From HT - via e-mail, USA

Thank God that He has continually used you in your ministry with Nguon Song. I know that all of you must be very busy, but if it is possible, could you please send me a copy of a two programs that was so impactful that I could not take notes quick enough.
1) Tuesday, May 16 - Science and Faith: The Art of Breathing
2) Monday, June 12 - Faith and Life: A Flight Full of Children
Please include the altar calls in these programming as well. Can we use this in our church prayer meeting in Garland , TX , this coming September.

14. From LVC - Lam Dong

Because of your devotions and perseverance, many people have heard the Good News of Christ and have come to know Him. Concerning your frequency, I am not able to listen to your programming in the morning due to interference and other reasons. I can only listen at night. On Tuesday and Sunday nights, I cannot hear your whole programming, which is very regrettable. Please continue to pray for the listeners so that they can understand, remember and practice what they have heard. As for the Women's Program, the lessons on the Women of the Bible with comments and practical applications have been very beneficial to the listeners. If it is all possible, could there be programming for the elderly, youth, young adults, and older adults? There should also be a program on Marriage and Family. Every month or every three months, there should be some time for listeners' 'mailbag' program. And with these programming, I think the Bible Reading should be cut shorter. And after the Bible reading, the questions that are asked should be read at a slower pace so that we can write them down. If sending printed material is possible, could you send me the following:
1) Words of Hope
2) Basic Christianity
3) Lessons on Marriage and Family
PS: As I finished writing this letter, I received your lesson the Value of a Grateful Heart. Can I copy this for my friends? Thank you.

15. From HD - Ho Chi Minh City

I thank God has given me a 4-band Sony digital radio. I can listen to Nguon Song and other stations easily. I usually listen to your programming until 8:00 PM before I start my dinner. As I listen to your programming, I would record it. I have prepared a notebook by the radio to copy down your lessons. But sometimes it is clear and sometimes nothing comes out of the radio. I prayed that God would give me a better radio. Anyways, can you send me recent programming so that I could share it with fellow believers at my church? Thanks.

16. From LDT - Da Nang

My wife and I are over 80 years old. We have been distant from our church for 30 years. We worship God through Nguon Song's Broadcast. Your teaching is very captivating and interesting, and beneficial. Everyone in my family loves it. We are very content that God has brought His Word through you. Thank you.

17. From DVT - Binh Thuan

I am a Christian from the Cham Tribe. I've longed to hear Gods' Word on the radio through Nguon Song, but I never had a radio to listen to. Today, I received a radio from you. I was very excited. This will be the gift to encourage us to grow in His Word. May God bless all of you.
