Responses from Vietnamese Listeners

May 2007

1. Mr. TMT, from Malaysia

I come from a farming family in Vinh Long, Vietnam. My grandpa was a devout Buddhist. My father is the 6th child in the family. My father found Christ and became a believer 18 years ago. My family frequently puts aside time to listen to Nguon Song's broadcast every night from 8 - 9 PM on SW 25m. Ever since I came to Malaysia to work, I have not been able to hear Nguon Song's Broadcast. All I was able to bring was my Bible. The work here is very difficult. I tried finding a church, and it wasn't until recently that I found a group of seminary students. I contacted them to find out where and when the worship and fellowship time was. They are mostly Chinese, which is a problem for me because I don't speak Chinese. On the ministry side, I've made some friends and tried to lead them to Christ. They believe that what I say is true, but they are not willing to accept Jesus aa their personal Savior. Please pray for my fellow Vietnamese friends who I am witnessing to. If at all possible, I would like to have some resources as well: Daily Devotionals; Lessons on the Life of Christ and Marriage and Family. I would like to have a Bible study time with my friends, to help them from falling into the traps of the devil. Anyway, I don't know what else to do. All I do now when I have free time is to read God's Word and be encouraged by it.

2. Ms. PTL, from Quang Nam, Vietnam

It's been a long time since I've wanted a radio to listen to Nguon Song's programming. After my house church meeting, I usually stay around and listen to Nguon Song at 8 PM. The group leader would always turn to Nguon Song for everyone to listen. Since I've found Nguon Song, I really want to have a radio so that my family can listen to Nguon Song as well. However, I am a widow with a young child and I do not have the resources to make that purchase. Thank God that He saw my need and my desire. Thank you for giving me a Sony Radio. I received it on 4/14/05. May God bless you and your family so that you would continue to serve Him and have more funds to help people like us who thirst for God's Word.

3. Mr. PDN, from Quang Nam, Vietnam

Ever since I became a believer, I've always wanted to be sent by God to witness to people. In my church, people call me "the evangelist." Most recently, I was given the task to a village close by to start a new church group. There are 30 presently there who have accepted Christ for a long time now, but whose lives have not been transformed. My first task was to build their faith through God's Word. And through these now mature Christians, there were 104 new converts added to the church from 2003 - 2005. Recently, I wrote a thank-you letter to you. I'm always excited to receive your mail. Technically, breaking copyright laws is something punishable, but you have encouraged me to use your resources for my church. Thank you for allowing me to do this. I've used from these broadcasts for evangelism: Faith Illustrated, Words of Hope, Science and Faith. I've also introduced people to Nguon Song and showed them how to catch your broadcast signal. Regarding building the believers, I've used the following programs: Marriage and Family, Living by God's Word, Women's Program. Every Wednesday night, after the church's service I would invite all who come to stay and listen to Nguon Song from 8 - 9 Pm. On other days, I would do visitation and listen to Nguon Song together with the people I visit. I thank God for providing the funds and gifted personnel to work at Nguon Song Station. Thank you to Pastor NDL who introduced me to Nguon Song. Thank you to those donors who love God and who had helped us poor Christians with radios so that we can listen to God's word. My God bless you all.

4. Mr. PK, from Quang Nam, Vietnam

My name is PK and I'm 70 years old. I am a member of a church in Tien Tho. From the depths of my heart, I want to thank you for the radio that you have given me. I am very thankful that now I am able to listen to God's Word everyday. God's Word has helped me grow in my faith and has enhanced my worship. I wish that all Vietnamese people can hear God's Word and believe in Him. May God bless you.

5. Mr. PQM, via e-mail

Thank you Nguon Song for sending me the lessons on "Women of the Bible." I have received lesson 2. May God bless you and your ministry. Thank you.

6. Mrs. DL, from USA via e-mail

Thank you for sending me "Women of the Bible: Lesson 2." I would like to have the lesson on Noah and his family as well. Thanks.

7. Mrs. MTC from Korea via e-mail

I have received, "Women of the Bible: Lesson 2." This time, I was able to read it. Thank you. If there are any new lessons on "Women of the Bible," I would like to have a copy of that as well. May God bless you and your ministry.

8. Mr. LTB, from Vietnam via e-mail

First e-mail

I would like to say thank you to all of you at Nguon Song for helping me to study God's Word everyday. I've been happily following Christ through your help over the last few years. I would like to have a printed copy of some of your recent teachings that were just broadcasted on the radio, especially the Pilgrim's Progress and Lessons on Hagar. May God bless all of you.

Second e-mail

I want to thank God for all the wonderful things He has done. Yesterday and today, when I received the e-mail from Nguon Song, I was very touched. I was as happy as meeting a long lost brother, even though we've never met and know nothing about each other. After receiving the lessons on Hagar, I will print more out and send them to the people I know, so that they can understand God's grace and mercy. Regarding the book Pilgrim's Progress, I'm sure someone here has a copy of it. Don't worry about it. In Christ.

9. Mr. NN, from USA via e-mail

Eating food offered to idols: Is it okay for a Christian to eat these foods?

10. Mr. NNN, from Vietnam, via e-mail

First e-mail

My name is NN, I am from the Ede tribe, and currently a student in Vietnam. I want to take this time to thank you for helping me learn God's Word through your radio ministry. I love studying God's Word, but I don't have enough resources to study. I was wondering if you could give me some resources such as the following: Character of God; the Shepherd; Having the Heart of Christ. If this is possible, please send these resources to the address included in this e-mail. Thank you.

Second e-mail

I've just received your lessons in the mail. Thank you very much, I now have plenty of resources to study. God has placed me here, going to a small church, while other places don't have the freedom to gather for worship. Please pray for me here. We are young people with a lot of issues, especially on relationships. Many of these people don't know God's will in this area and have gone the wrong way. Because of that, there are many problems and broken hearts. I know the prayer of the righteous will be answered. So please pray for us young people. God bless.

11. Ms. SM, from Germany via e-mail

First e-mail

Please send me the lesson on Hannah of the Old Testament that was broadcasted today. This lesson really impacted me and I would like to have a copy of it. Thank you and God bless.

Second e-mail

I was very happy to receive the lessons you sent me. This is very valuable. I was able to learn more about God's Words. This lesson is something that I would be able to use to lead other women in my church to learn about the women of the Bible. Thank you for your kindness and help. May God bless you abundantly. I pray for you often.

PS: If it is possible, I would like to have previous lessons from "Women of the Bible." I know this is asking for much, but we are in desperate need for resources for women.

12. Mr. STH from USA via e-mail

I would like to know how I can help families in Vietnam financially. Please send me the information. Thanks.
