April 2002
Note: "Nguon Song" or "Spring of Life" is the name of Vietnamese broadcast on the FEBC Radio.
From Mr. L.V.T., Da Nang
Please send us the lesson "Worship in the Local Church," broadcast on March 13, 2002. May God bless you richly.
From Mr. L.D.T., Da Nang
I have had problems with my eyes for the past 10 years, and just had surgery. Now I can write, but I still have difficulty reading. But I am very grateful to God that I can write letters. My family has been worshiping God through your broadcast every night and day for the past 20 years. I have seriously learned and applied your teaching of God's Word. Truly, it is wonderful to be a Christian, but it is not easy. We have to forsake everything; with the help of the Holy Spirit and Nguon Song's regular teaching we can stand strong. I thank you who are my teachers, who have labored to preach God's Word to us for almost 30 years now. Everyday, I hear your voices but cannot see your faces, I write letters, but do not know if they reach you or not. I only know to commit my letter into God's hands. May God bless you, so that everything will go smoothly in your ministry.
From Mr. N.T.T., Lam Dong
I have been waiting for a long time, and finally yesterday, I received your reply. I was so moved when I opened your letter. I don't know what else to say, except to thank God for this privilege. On behalf of my family, I would like to thank the entire Nguon Song for praying for me, and for giving me a Christmas gift. I am Vietnamese, and my wife is a Christian from a tribal family. Every once in awhile, I go to church with my wife, but I don't understand their language. They sing hymns and read the Bible, but I cannot understand any of it. Thus, can you please send me a Bible and a hymnal in Vietnamese? However much it costs, I will pay you later.
Regarding your frequency, in general, any broadcast is good. But every now and again, there is some interference.
From Miss N.T.P.C., Dong Thap
I was very glad to receive your letter. I received it right on Chinese New Year's eve. I was very happy to hold the letter in my hands. Through that letter, I came to know that you sent me a letter and some booklets, but I have still not received either. Please think of me and send them again. Thank you.
From Mrs. P.T.H., Quang Nam
I thank God, because in His love, we have fellowship with one another. I am very happy; this is my first letter to you, to get to know you better. Up until now, I have only heard your voices over the radio, and have not had any personal contact with you. May God, our loving Father, be with you always and bless you and give you strength, so that you may continue to preach His Word every day to bring joy and encouragement to Christians everywhere. And may you proclaim the Gospel throughout the earth, so that those who do not know God yet may come to know Him as their Savior. Thank God for establishing this radio ministry. Your voices have taught me and many others, the Word of God. I cannot listen to your broadcast regularly due to my busy schedule. Please send me some booklets so that I can learn more.
From Mr. P.D.S., Binh Thuan
Over the airwaves, you have used God's Word to encourage us in our walk with God. Thank God for keeping my family safe through the year 2001. Thank God that I was able to listen to Nguon Song from 1990 - 1995. After that, I wrote to request lessons on Marriage and Family, but did not receive the material you sent to me. In 1996, I got married, moved out, and did not have a radio, so I was unable to listen to Nguon Song until now. At the beginning of 2001, I bought a cheap radio. I was able to listen to Nguon Song for 3 days, and then it broke. Also at the beginning of 2001, I received your letter. In that letter were 2 stamps, a program guide, and a survey about the quality of the signal. But I didn't respond because I have not been listening to the broadcast. At the beginning of 2002, I received a new program guide and a Christmas card, thank you. As of now, I still cannot listen to your broadcast, but I still think of you. I believe that God will soon open the door for me to have the means to listen to His Word through your broadcast. Please send me some materials from the "Marriage and Family" program, such as husbands' and wives' roles and responsibilities, how to raise your children in the way of the Lord, etc. I really hope to receive these lessons.
From Miss T.T.H.L., Dong Nai
I received your Christmas card and letter a few weeks ago, but was too busy to reply until now. I truly thank you for sending me greetings in our Lord Jesus Christ. I was very encouraged. I am sorry that I have not written much because life is difficult, and yet you still think of me. It has been awhile since I've had the opportunity to listen to your broadcast, and I feel like I am missing something important. I only know to pray that God will soon give me the opportunity to hear your broadcast again.
From Mr. T.D., Dong Nai
I am a regular listener of Nguon Song station. I write today to request all the lessons from the "Marriage Preparation" and "Marriage and Family" series. The church that I attend is very new, and we are in need of all kinds of lessons. Most of the members are new Christians. It happens a lot that Christians here marry non-Christians. Young families have a lot of conflict. Facing these issues, I would like to have the whole series on Marriage Preparation and Marriage and Family. First, for myself, and then to share what I learn with people in the youth group. I also wanted to ask you if you had any materials to help me establish a youth ministry. If you do, can you send it to me, please? Thank you for your help.
From Mr. N.H.M., Ha Noi
I was very happy to receive your letter and your Christmas card. I was even happier to know that you remembered me, even though it has been a long time since I've written to you. As a college student, I am very busy, but I always take the time to tune in to your broadcast whenever I can. Because of that, I listen to Nguon Song a lot less than I used to. But be assured that I will always think of your broadcast as a good friend I can never forget.
From Mrs. V.T.A., Ho Chi Minh City
I was moved almost to tears, because after so many lost letters, I now received your Christmas card with sincere greetings, and it is my greatest joy to have received your e-mail address. I am glad and thank God, because so few of my friends ever receive mail from abroad. I am 71 years old this year, but thank God that I am still healthy. May God bless you.
From Mr. N.N.D., Hoi An
I was very glad to receive your letter. Thank God that lessons 1 and 2 have reached us safely. Thank you very much for your thoughtfulness in including stamps for us as well. May God bless you abundantly. These lessons are very beneficial for the young people in our church, because many of the young people have been marrying non-Christians. I am studying these lessons to lead group discussions on this topic someday. Please continue to send us the remaining lessons, so that we can have the complete series. Thank you very much, but please do not send us any more stamps. May God's peace be with you and your families.
From T.M. via e-mail
I was very glad to receive your letter and the series "Faith Illustrated." Thank you very much, these lessons are very relevant to me, and I am able to share them with other people as well. I would like to take this opportunity to request the "Women of the Bible" lesson on Lydia, broadcast on January 17, 2002. Thank you very much.
From H.R., Ho Chi Minh City via e-mail
It has been a long time since I've written to you. Thank God that your programs have encouraged and strengthened my faith a great deal. Your programs have become more interesting and practical, meeting the needs of listeners in Vietnam. I listened to the "Marriage and Family" program, it's very good. Because of my work, I am unable to listen regularly each week. So, can you please help me to obtain the complete "Marriage and Family" series? I would be truly grateful. May God bless you.
From T.P. via e-mail
You just sent me 2 lessons from the "Faith and Marriage" series. I think there might be more that you forgot to send. I would like you to send them all to me, so that I can make copies and distribute it to the young people in church. Please send to me ASAP lessons on marriage and family, child rearing, and teenagers. Thank you.
