March 2003
Note: "Nguon Song" or "Spring of Life" is the name of Vietnamese broadcast on the FEBC Radio.
From Mr. N.V.C., Bac Giang
I am a recent high school graduate. I just heard your Vietnamese program
For the first time three weeks ago. I may be a little late, but hearing
Nguon Song is very important to me. Listening to Nguon Song helped strengthen
And increase my faith. My reason for writing today is to ask for your help.
You are ahead of me in your walk with God, so please show me how to live a
Life that is pleasing to the Lord. Please share with me your experience, that
I may overcome trials and temptations. If possible, I would like to
Request some sermons. Thank you in advance.
From Mrs. P.N.P., Vung Tau (3 people)
We are three of your listeners (P.N.P., N.P.A.T., and N.T.L.). We haven’t written to you in a long time, but still learn God’s Word through your devotional "Living with God’s Word" published monthly, and we sometimes also tune in to your broadcast. We really like to study through the devotionals "Living with God’s Word" because we have been able to learn a lot about God’ s Word. We thank God and thank you for helping us and encouraging us in our faith. May God bless you and strengthen you in your ministry, that it may be fruitful, saving many souls through your programs.
From Miss D.T.H., (location unclear)
I was really happy to hold in my hand the two booklets "Faith Illustrated" and "Streams in the Desert" along with the letter you wrote. I only know to thank God for giving me this opportunity to write to you. Honestly, ever since I left home to go to school I have been unable to listen to Nguon Song. Thus, I have wanted printed materials so I can study and learn more. These materials have been a great source of comfort for me. I feel like I am drowning in the ocean, and there is not one person who can save me because am so hungry for God’s Word. Please do not forget to pray for me. The family I am staying with is very difficult, and I don’t know what to do to be able to listen to Nguon Song while I am here. Please pray that I may find away to tune in to your broadcast, and please send me more printed materials. Thank you.
From Mr. B.N.L., Quang Nam
I was very glad to receive your letter. I was worried that you wouldn’t receive the letter I wrote to you. Can you please send me some postage stamps? Although most of your programs are about religion, there are also some programs about daily life that have been very helpful to me. They enrich your broadcast. As of now, my radio is broken and I am trying to save some money to buy a new one. So I am sorry that I will have to be apart from you for a while, but I will always remember you. In 2003, Nguon Song will be another year older. I hope that you will always be a good friend to all your listeners. Thank you for writing to me.
From Miss N.T.P.C., Dong Thap
Thank you for the Christmas card and letter. Through the "Listeners’ Mailbag" program seven weeks ago, I learned that you had responded to my letter and sent the Marriage and Family materials to me. However, I still have not received it as of today. I never received the materials you sent me on previous occasions either. I wonder if it’s because of my address. I always remember your ministry and pray for you. May God bless your program, so that many will hear God’s Name. I am very glad to be living in God’s house and serving Him. I would like to dedicate my life to serve Him. Ever since I began tithing faithfully, God has been blessing me in extraordinary ways.
From Mr. N.V.C., Bac Giang
First of all I would like to thank you very much for letting me share my thoughts and feelings with you. I was really glad to receive your response.I thank God for answering my prayers. God has sent His Word to me through Nguon Song. May He always pour out His blessings on you. I really hope that you will always be my teachers and father figures to me, guiding and teaching me so that I may grow in my love for God. And that you will also be my constant companion on my journey ahead. Your teaching has inspired my heart for God and my compassion for people. After listening to your program, I realized that loving God is not by what you say, but what you do, even the smallest deeds. I want to go and contribute my efforts in furthering the cause of the Gospel. Please pray for me. I thank you for sending me "Faith
Illustrated, Volume 1" and "Basic Doctrines," but for some reason I have still not received them. If possible, can you please send these 2 volumes to me again? And please also send me some of the sermons that have been broadcast. Thank you very much. From Mr. P.M.H., Soc Trang I received your letter on November 26, 2002 at 10 AM. I was jumping forjoy. Many thanks to the entire Nguon Song staff for sending me such kind words in Christ Jesus. As of now, our local church is facing some difficulties in regards to our gatherings and worship time. Recently, the government and local authorities came and confiscated all of our Bibles, hymnals, and all the church’s supplies. After that, the authorities prosecuted and fined us, never giving us a chance to defend ourselves. We appealed to City officials over a month ago, and still have not heard from them. Please pray for us.
From Mr. P.D.T., Vung Tau
I am really touched that you thought of me and sent me a Christmas card. It is only in God’s love that I was able to receive that. I have only written to you a few times, and yet I continue to receive your encouraging letters. Our local church is small and in a remote area, but God still opens the door for the Gospel here. Our chapel has also met with some difficulties because of the local authorities. The number of believers has reached over 200,but attendance on Sundays is about 50 people, including the children. There is still no pastor to care for the church here, in the mean time, the pastor of our mother church has asked me to lead the group. Please pray for me and send me materials that may be helpful for me. Please also help the Christians here with the means to listen to your program.
From Mr. Y.P., Lam Dong
I was very happy to receive your letter. Thank God for carrying your letter to me safely. I was very touched to read your letter. Thank God for hearing my family’s prayers. Do you know, when I received your letter, I had just starting attending my church and the young pastor of the church read your letter for the entire church to hear. Everyone was moved by your kindness.I believe that your help to me will help me and my family become stronger in our faith.
From Mr. L.H.N., Khanh Hoa
I truly thank the Nguon Song staff for the Christmas card you sent to my family. May God bless you abundantly. I recently bought a radio that receives the 25 short-wave meter bands very clearly. There have been severe storms with rain and strong winds in our area, but I could still hear your voices very clearly. I never forget to tune in to your morning and evening programs. I heard that you were changing to the 41-meter band, and a few days later, I was so glad to learn that you were going to stay on the 25-meter band after all, because this is the frequency that I receive most clearly. I tune in to your program at exactly 7 o’clock every evening and 5:45 every morning. My entire family listens to the whole program before going to work. The 25-meter band is very clear and very good. May God bless you.
From Mr. N.N.D., Quang Nam
This past July, I sent you a letter asking for some materials on "Marriage and Family," specifically on the topic of infidelity that I heard broadcast. Perhaps my letter has been destroyed and never reached your hands. I hope that God will carry this letter to you safely. And please send me that material. Thank you.
