February 2006

1. From NVH. Dong Thap, via e-mail

I have been a Christian since 1998, but because my home is quite far from a local church, I wasn’t able to attend church on a regular basis until the year 2000. Every week, I would ride my bicycle about 18 km to get to church. My parents are not believers, and even up to today, they continue to make life difficult for me as I grow in my faith.

I am currently a college student in An Giang. When I was still at home, I was able to listen to Nguon Song broadcast at a deacon’s home, almost every night. Listening to God’s Word in that time period, I was able to reap a lot of blessing. Truly, that period of my life, I was living in God’s blessing, and I really would like to thank Nguon Song for that. But since I’ve been in college, I haven’t been able to listen to Nguon Song and am thirsting to learn more of his Word. So if it is possible, could you send me some resources so that I can continue to grow in my faith?

There is no one in my entire family who follows Christ. I’m the only one. My decision to follow Christ has been a difficult path, but I consider it a blessing. I hope to give my life to serve God. Lastly, I would like to wish you strength so that you could continue to lead people to Christ to receive His salvation and blessings.

I want to know about the Bible and about Jesus Christ. Please pray for me and help me. There are times when I am weak and lonely. If you receive this e-mail, please let me know. May God bless you.

I have sent 10 radios to a few families in Quang Ngai and 10 more radios for another 10 families in Quang Nam. The need to listen to Nguon Song Broadcast in the countryside is great. Pray that more and more people will listen, know Christ, and grow in Him. Last year, God has allowed me to witness to 859 people in various situations and ways. Out of those people, 19 have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.

I have introduced Nguon Song’s Broadcasting about 100 times. There is nothing better than to witness for Christ and seeing people come to Him. Among the different ways to witness to people, introducing people to Nguon Song is a must. In any situation, I could always introduce people to Nguon Song broadcast. I have made a promise to God that I would continue to do this. To me, praying for Nguon Song and telling others about the broadcasting is my responsibility. May God be with you.

With this New Year, I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of you for spending a lot of time and energy to send me various resources. The sermons and programs have helped me a lot. It has especially encouraged me through hard times in my life. Once again, thank you for helping me. If you could, please continue sending me resources through e-mail. May God bless all of you and Nguon Song Broadcast so that you could continue to bring encouragement and nurture to those who are thirsting for God’s Word.

It’s been a while since I’ve written to you. Since I have time, I am writing you now. I really enjoy listening to Nguon Song’s programming. Sometimes, I would listen to your broadcast over the internet. It’s amazing. I can see the wonderful work of God in my life. Every time I face problems and I pray, He answers my prayers in amazing ways. Every time I rely on God, he leads me and teaches me many valuable lessons. Thanks for all your hard work. God bless.

I was wondering if it was possible for Nguon Song to strengthen it’s signal so that everyone in Vietnam can listen clearly. Right now, your broadcast signal is very weak and is almost impossible to listen to. If this can be done, on behalf of all the listeners in Vietnam and for myself, I would like to thank you.

Thank God that even though I have gone astray, God has never left me. Thank you, Nguon Song, for showing me a path to return to God. Please pray for me. May God bless you in this New Year with health and wisdom to help those lost sheep find their way home.

We always remember Nguon Song’s Broadcast. Every time I get home from work, I would turn on the radio so that my whole family could listen to your broadcast at 8 PM. It has been such a blessing. God has blessed us with peace in our hearts. Even though others are worried about the inflation and other things, we are confident and believe that God would provide for us. In this new year, may God bless you so that you could continue serve God through bringing encouragement to those who believe and witness to people who haven’t.

It was a good idea that you uploaded your New Year’s programming ahead of time because it helped listeners to listen to all your programming, not missing any one of them. After this special time of the year, it would be great if you would upload your Saturday and Sunday programming ahead of time. Thanks so much for your hard work. May God be with you and bless you throughout this new year.

I am a faithful listener of Nguon Song’s Broadcast. I really appreciated the fact that Nguon Song has programs to help those who have not yet know the Lord. By the way, I do have a small suggestion: is it possible for you to use the old translation of the Bible for the Bible reading program? It would be easier for the church leaders to follow along. Anyway, that’s just my personal opinion, but if this could be done, it would be most appreciated.

I recently received a letter from you. Thank you for remembering me and may God bless you with a strong signal for us here to listen to God’s Word. I always try to arrange my time so that I can listen to your broadcast. In this new year, I pray that God would allow your ministry to flourish even more than before. If you receive this letter, please reply. Thanks.

Recently, my friend received a letter from Nguon Song and she shared it with me. I was moved by your letter and I want to have a strong connection with Nguon Song as well. The pastor from my church, who is also a close friend of mine, passed away in May 2003. Ever since then, we still don’t have a pastor to shepherd us. But with God’s strength, I took over the responsibilities. I wish that Nguon Song could support me by sending me materials, Bible lessons, gospel tracks … etc … so that I can use it in my church. Not too long ago, our church was able to communicate with a group of Christians from the Kor Tribe in Quang Ngai. These people love the Lord and they hope that Nguon Song would someday broadcast programming in the Kor dialect. Eagerly awaiting your reply. My God bless you.

I was very happy to receive a letter from you. Congratulations on FEBC 57th anniversary. Thank you for your encouraging letter to spur me towards learning more about God’s Word. Your programming, Pilgrims Progress and Living a Holy Life have been very beneficial to me. If you have Points to Ponder, would you send me a copy? Would you give me a small radio so that I could listen to your program? May God be with you in your service to Him.
