Responses from Vietnamese Listeners

January 2004

Note: "Nguon Song" or "Spring of Life" is the name of Vietnamese broadcast on the FEBC Radio.

Mr. L.T.T., Quang Nam

We were so happy to receive your letter that was sent through Manila, Philippines. First of all, we want you to know that we really pray for God’s grace and mercy for each and every Nguon Song staff member, from now until the day Jesus returns. May God give you new strength to serve Him in the radio ministry, that it may grow stronger every day. Nguon Song has made a significant contribution to our spiritual growth. Your program is a very valuable food for our souls. In particular, your program has drawn me out of the traps of our sinful world. I sincerely thank God and you.

However, we have been really disappointed, and we don’t understand why it has been so hard to correspond with you. From now on, please send letters to the following address: ... Maybe the letters will go through more easily.

Regarding the quality of your signal: these days, your program is clearer than before, but the night time program still gets a lot of interference from other stations. We still try to share the Gospel to win sinners to God, but the government still doesn’t really approve of our work.

Please send us the lessons on Basic Theology, “The Origin and Character of Angels.” Thank you.

Mrs. P.N.P., Vung Tau

We are three listeners writing this letter together. We have not written to you in a long time, but we still regularly learn about the Bible through the devotional “Living by God’s Word,” and we tune in to the Nguon Song broadcast every now and then. We really like the “Living by God’s Word” devotional, because it teaches us a lot about the Bible. We are very grateful to God and we thank you for helping to nurture our spiritual lives, and spread the Good News to all people. May God bless you with grace and strength to serve Him in a fruitful way.

Mr. P.M.H., Soc Trang

We received your letter, and were so glad! Thanks so much to everyone on Nguon Song staff. May God’s grace su stain us all, so that we can really experience life with our Lord. Our church has been facing some difficulties with the local authorities. During worship and our communion service, the authorities came in and took all of our hymnals. After that, the local authorities convicted us without letting us defend ourselves. We have appealed to the higher authorities, but have not heard from them yet. Please pray for us.

Mr. N.V.V., Hai Duong

Every night and every morning, God’s Word over the airwaves is a source of faith and hope for Christians. Our family and everyone in the church have been redeemed through Christ’s sacrifice. Through your insight and the teaching of the Bible, Nguon Song has programs that nurture our spiritual lives. Ever since you changed your transmitter, your broadcast on the 25meter band has been very clear. I really like to listen to the program “Peace with God,” and the worship songs. Every year, I receive your program guide. Thank you very much. May God always give you good health and strength to proclaim the Good News.

Mr. H.V.L, Quang Nam

Thank God, it is a real blessing that our family has the opportunity to be acquainted with you. My family came to know the Lord 3 years ago, and have been listening to Nguon Song for just over a year now. Our daily lives are really busy, but I still get to listen to God’s Word every night. Your program is really beneficial and enjoyable; it is building, encouraging, and comforting us in our spiritual lives. The Women’s Program is especially beneficial to my wife. I thank God and you all at Nguon Song for teaching me so many valuable lessons from God’s Word. These are the first words I wanted to write to you to introduce myself to you. May you always have new strength from God, so that you can spread His Word to everyone in the world.

I have received 3 Marriage and Family lessons. I have read them and really liked them, because the topics they address are very practical for my marriage and family. If there are any new lessons, please send them to me, either by e-mail or regular mail. Thank you.

Miss L.T., via e-mail

I usually e-mail you to request lessons, but I have a new e-mail address now. Please send me the lesson on Esther, from the Women’s Program every Thursday. I would also like to request the Saturday sermon about “Worry.”

Miss C.T.K.N., via e-mail

I am really sorry that I haven’t written to you in quite some time. I have received the booklet “Faith and Marriage” that you sent to me through the post office. I really want to read a lot about God’s Word, and am hoping you can help me. I really like to listen to Nguon Song broadcast and the worship songs. When I hear your sermons, I am really comforted and encouraged. I can really sense God’s care for me. I used to be very weak in my faith, often skipping church and Jesus was not truly the Lord of my life. But God still loved me and did not give up on me. When I received your letter, I was so moved, because it’s been so long since I felt like anyone cared for me like that. Your kind words were very comforting. I held your letter in my hand and cried. They were tears of joy, because I knew that I was blessed. I cried because I had found God again. I really believed in God as my Lord and Savior. Please pray for me, that I won’t fall away again.

I hear your broadcast very clearly, and now it is much easier to tune in to your signal than before. Please send my greetings to everyone on Nguon Song staff, and may God bless you always.

Mr. A.H., Qui Nhon, via e-mail

Hello to everyone! How are you? May God be with you always. This is the first time I have written to Nguon Song. I just started listening to your broadcast not too long ago, but I think it’s very good. Do you know, in a city as small as Qui Nhon, it is very difficult to find Christian literature or any material related to Christianity. So your broadcast is really appreciated by everyone here. As for me, I would like it if there was a separate program just about leading worship. It is sometimes really hard for me to find new songs for worship. I hope to hear from you soon.

Mrs. V.T.N., via e-mail

Greetings to all of you who are God’s servants on Nguon Song staff! Praise God, I was so touched to receive your letter. You sent it 07-27-03, and I received it 10-30-03. The last time I heard from you before that was when I received the 2000 calendar. Thank God, for He continues to give me opportunities to serve Him in our small church. In years past, God has done many miracles, and has chosen many people to be in His family. Our church has gone through much trials and persecution. And now, things are even more difficult. They have been going from house to house, insulting Christians and pressuring them to denounce their faith. They have beaten people, and encouraged husbands to leave their wives for believing in God. Please pray for us so that God will move in this place. I also pray for you a lot. May God expand your ministry even more, so that His Word will be proclaimed to everyone in Viet nam. If you have any Bible lessons available, please send them to us. Can you help me find two books? I’m looking for “The Purpose Driven Life” and “Peace with God.” Thank you very much.

Mr. N.T.A., via e-mail

Our greetings to everyone serving at Nguon Song Radio Station! May God always be with you as you serve Him. I received the booklet “Faith and Marriage.” Thank you very much. Please send lessons to me regularly, so that I can learn more about the Bible. I am currently leading the Young Adults group at my church, so am in real need of material for this age group. Thank you in advance. I am looking forward to your reply.

Mrs. N.T.T.L., via e-mail (from Netherlands)

I have been listening to your broadcast for some time now (via the Internet). I especially like the Women’s Program. You talked about the role of a wife and her responsibilities to her husband and children. I thank God for these lessons. They taught me a lot about my own responsibilities to my family. I trust that God will help me be a better wife and mother, being more patient and setting good examples to my family. I would like to receive some Bible lessons and material from the Women’s Program. Thank you for your help. May God bless your radio ministries, especially your daily broadcasts. I am praying that God’s Word will be a blessing to every one in the world..
