Listener Responses from Thailand

November 2007

To the Heart Friend program:

I want to thank you for the booklet sent to me. I rang to speak with the programmer as I love her friendly voice very much. I like it when she prays in the program. I listen to the program every day and now each day I wake up at 4 to 5am to pray before the programs begin and go from 6am to 7am.

Ms. Yaay Korat Province

Greetings to the programmer for the Calling Women! program.

I thank you so very much for introducing a Christian person to visit me at my house. They have been coming almost every week now. They brought me a Bible and have been explaining the things I don't understand so that my understanding is growing. I trust you and the broadcast team are all well. I have something which I want to share with you. I have experimented with praying to the Living God now. I haven't been praying much though. I am wondering should my prayers be quiet or loud? My health is much the same - I can walk a little bit now, but my heart is in a much better shape since I have been listening and contacted you. I would love to have a booklet of "Vitamins for the Soul". Please send me one. I haven't moved anywhere else and I trust you still have my address. I will write again to the program.

Mr. Lert Burirum Province (a listener with a physical handicap)

Hello to the This Life Has An Answer programmer and all of the broadcast Team!

This is my very first letter to your program. I have been listening for a while now. Right from the beginning I have liked this program very much. It is a program that has good content and can answer life problems. I always feel stronger from what I hear in this program, because also hear about listeners who have problems 100% greater than mine and who do not lose heart with their difficulties. I would like to share my story. I am from another religion but surely it is not wrong for me to listen to a Christian program is it? I would like you to please pray for me. I have a rather heavy heart. I have a family - my husband is the only one with work. Sometimes we have enough to cope for the day but sometimes it isn't enough to manage. I am looking for work but haven't found any yet. I am distressed and don't know what to do. Please send me the booklet "Life Miracles". And finally may God give the team and this program happiness.

Mrs. Ming Nathon Pathom Province

Greetings to the This Wide World programmer:

At this time I am in great confusion - whether it is to do with work; the people round me; money or my children and I don't know what to do for the best. I am dizzy with it and wish to just be quiet for moment! I have thought about all of this a long time and I always end up asking myself "Why?" Why is it that people in our village these days speak like honey but it's not the truth? And like to take husbands away from their wives? As for myself, I want to flee from all of these things. I speak the truth but everyone says it's not a good thing to do and they treat me as a joke. So they use modern language "in this day and age where can goodness be found?" My son put the radio on to listen to songs and found your program. I would like to have the booklet you mentioned so that I can read it at home and maybe I will stop crying all the time. Please send it to me. Thank you, respectfully,

Mrs. Nongnut Petchaburi Province

Dear More Precious Than Gold programmer

and all of the team involved with the More Precious Than Gold Isaan language program. I am a policeman and am the same person who has communicated with you before. I still love and think of you and this program all the time. I listen to every program from the Muang Kang station. I want to say that this program has excellent content and it is the very best value for the listeners - especially for Christian living too. Even those who are of another religion can understand and are lucky to be able to hear such a fine program from a Child of God. I thank the Lord for this. I have been on leave from being a policeman for a time, and now am ready to re-enlist again and I choose to request to be sent to assist in the 3 provinces in the most southern provinces where there's difficulties. Please would you all pray for me. Along with this letter, I would like to request the latest booklet to read. May the Lord Himself bless all of you.

Police Senior Sergeant Major K (name withheld for security).

Hello to the programmer and all of the Team of the Love and Thinking of you program:

I am studying the Bible Correspondence course and am so happy to do this. The lessons are not too hard and enjoyable too. I can easily understand them as they do not have a great deal of reading so far. I am in High School now. On Monday 22nd of November some people came to distribute Christian literature at our school. It even had pictures of Jesus in it. They gave away several hundred books. I wonder if you know about this? And how will I be able to know when I love the Lord with all my heart and soul? Even so I want to commit myself to this program and continue to be a member of the Bible course. The booklet you sent me is excellent. It is so valuable and it caused me to want to pray like the prayer that is in the book.

With love and affection!

Ms. Pat Khon Kaen Province
