Thailand - June 2005
FEBC Thailand's radio ministry consists of radio production and distribution to local stations throughout the country. The following letter translations are representative of inquiring listeners.
Fill up Your Heart program:
Hello to the Program! I am a regular listener to FEBC – even more than
a year
already. When I tuned in at first, I noticed that it was a program
about
christianity and would not be for me, but as I listened on each day I
realized that
it was a good program and very interesting. The program content is able
to make
things clear for the listeners. Every word is important and now I want
to listen to
this program regularly! I listen every day from Monday to Friday. I
have 7
people working in my shop and they all listen too. I turn the radio on
for them to
hear too. And my customers who come to have their hair cut also ask me
“what
program is this? Where can I find it.?” They want to listen in
themselves! I tell
them how to find it because it’s a good program and I don’t want just
keep it to
myself. I have been in this city for
many
years. I have a men’s hairdressing shop. I have customers every day –
sometimes
a lot sometimes less. I am so happy to be writing this first letter to
you.

This Life Still Has An Answer program
I listen to the xxxx station in Phangna every day and I have phoned in
and talked
with the team also! This has all helped me a lot and the content is
very good.
Before I listened to this program I was very discouraged and had lost
heart. I had
many problems in my family. My wife fell in love with someone else and
left me
with 2 children to take care of. I thought many times to kill myself to
escape out
of the problems. But now I don’t think that way any more. I have
listened to my
friend and also to your program and it has given me strength to face
life. I have
read the booklet you sent to me. It was good and I now have peace and
contentment. My heart is peaceful and you gave me good ideas and a new
way
of thinking. I say that you do a very good program. My neighbors and I
are all
listening. But we feel that just 30 minutes is too short. The content
in the
program can be taken and used in our real daily life and that’s why I
have
written today! As for the songs, they are good ones too. Listeners
won’t be bored
in listening to your program. Thank you for putting my previous letter
on the air.
If you have more booklets please send them to me also.
Mr. S. Phangna
