Russian children write...
These are the letters of the first few children who listened to Pilgrim's Progress radio series.
Ivan, 11 year old:
"I liked "Pilgrim's Progress" a lot. It's very interesting! At the beginning the hero got into swamp, but was rescued. Then he met lions. They were on chains and Christian passed by them. That was exciting. But the story ended up well. I would love to listen to the rest of the story!
"I think there is a greater meaning to this book that I could not fully understandafter listening to only couple of programs. I even think it's something more than simply great literature. I wish all my friends could listen to it"
Vasilisa, 3,5 year old (recorded by her mother, Tatiana):
"I am 3,5 years. I like to listen to radio. I liked to listen about Christian. He sank into swamp. One man helped him to get out. Christian was a believer. He met Apolion. It was such a huge monster, evil and bad. Apolion told Christian that he would destroy Christian. They fought. Christian started praying to God and one man oiled his wounds. And he recovered. I also pray to God. Every night."
Sasha, 10 year old:
"It's a great presentation! I like the music, it's so dramatic it makes you feel you are there. The book becomes alive. This drama is interesting not only to those who don't like to read, but also to avid readers like me. All characters help Christian to find the right way. Listening to this program I can't help thinking: "What should Christians do to follow the right way?" I want to listen to this drama again.
"I was told that somebody paid for the album I received as a gift. I'll share it with others."
Misha, 12 year old:
"I liked the programs "Pilgrim's Progress" very much! All the characters' names speak for themselves. You can't even imagine what or who Christian will come across on the way. Thanks to his courage, faith in God and help of many good people Christian is going forth to his goal. I want to be like that.
"This is the best radio production I've ever heard. And it is not simply a story — there is spiritual meaning to it. I will give this album to my non-Christian friends to listen. Thanks for this gift!"
