Listener Responses from Korea

March 2008

S O Baik (China)

I have been listening to FEBC for fifteen years and have received many benefits. I heard that the gospel message has been aired through FEBC to Christians in North Korea, which strengthens many believers there and in China. I know that many Christians listen to FEBC in their underground churches, as they do not have pastors or spiritual leaders to nourish them, but only through FEBC sermons and songs on the radio. Many nights, people get together and sit around the radio. I believe that God knows their needs and wants according to their requests. I treasure these broadcasts so that I can learn and grow in Christ. We all desire to worship God freely anyplace and anywhere!

J I W (Seoul)

God has always been good to me even when I was unfaithful to Him. I am currently in prison. Before I came here, my mother listened to FEBC all the time and although I heard the words, I really didn't listen. I do not really remember most of the programs but I heard about Jesus through a preacher. Faith comes by hearing whether I intended to listen or not. Once each month, my mom writes an encouraging letter about the things she's heard on FEBC. The programs provide great spiritual nourishment through her. Now that I have time to think and repent, I've decided to become a Christian and will be a different person. When I am released, I plan to visit FEBC to show my appreciation. God has been working in my life and has shown his love regardless of my sins. Thanks to God for saving me!

S J Shin (Yeongdong)

God's grace is beautiful! FEBC gives me the strength and faith to live. It is a privilege to listen to Christian programs every morning! I know what it is like to be weak and helpless and I have needed someone to trust for counsel about life's decisions. When I was in darkness, life was meaningless and hopeless. Since I became a Christian, I have been deeply touched through FEBC. I have assurance of salvation but I still need help to grow in my Christian faith. FEBC has been a great teacher. I will continue to pray that FEBC will provide spiritual nutrition for Christians in North and South Korea.

Through The Bible Radio Ministry

Ms. Jo Young Ja - Kyeonggi, Internet (March 13, 2008)

Hello! My name is Cho Young Ja. I live in So-Rok Island where there is a leprosy colony. I came here 54 years ago when I was 25 years old. Over the years, my heart has been broken by many things. I have lost ten fingers, both eyes and some of my physical appearance, but when I met God I gained spiritual life and health. I could not have overcome all of these hardships by myself. I had to cry out to someone and He was there for me through FEBC. I have deeply appreciated 'McGee's Bible Study'. I cannot read or study the Bible but I have been filled with enormous strength and faith through hearing the lessons from FEBC. Thank you for faithfully airing the Word. Please, remember that there are people out there who need to hear the voice of God. (Note: This letter was written for her by a nurse)

Mr. Kim Jong Won - Inchon, Internet (March 24, 2008)

I have spent many hours from early morning to late at night continuously listening to your broadcasts. I have also encouraged my friends to listen, especially those who have just come out of a cult movement. They wanted to study the Bible more so they went off the deep end. I am wondering where they can be re-educated to learn the true Biblical meaning of God's Grace. If you know any churches that help these people, please give me a call. 'McGee's Bible Studies in Revelation have been especially helpful to them. God is using you in a great way.

Ms. Jo You Jin - Changwon, Internet (March 28, 2008)

Shalom!! 'McGee's Bible Study' touched my heart deeply and I felt that I had to do something to pay my spiritual debt, so I became a FEBC missionary club member. I have so much for which to be thankful…my family, my job, Christian friends and just being a child of God. Everything comes from Him through His grace and goodness. Thanks also to the Holy Spirit for guiding my life.
