Staff (Daejeon)

Winter is here and the FEBC Daejeon staff have visited the low income and disadvantaged in the community to share Christ's love and the joy of salvation. Some of FEBC's missionary club members have expressed their love through donations toward the purchase of over one-hundred boxes of fruit and other choice Korean foods. The staff visited five different places in five days and prayed for the handicap children and elderly who do not have a family with which to live.

This is a "Thank you Letter" from one of the churches visited by the Daejeon Staff. Thank you for coming to our church and demonstrating God's love and Christ's humble heart. The deaf cannot hear the gospel and are shunned by their family and society. When I listen to FEBC, I feel sorry for those who cannot hear the Christian songs and insightful sermons. I will tell them that you are real brothers in Christ. Thank you FEBC, for sharing your love and care for the brokenhearted people and thank you Lord for Your faithful love.

H S Kim (Seoul)

I am a regular listener to FEBC and God convicted me through a pastor's message this afternoon. He said, "His perception is eternal and perfect but ours is temporal and marred by sin so we need to be controlled by God and follow his clear guidelines to protect us from our sinful nature." I knew about these great teachings but they had not "clicked" in my heart. I know that His way is best for me but I have complained when He did not give me what I wanted. I tend to be a self- focused person and was rebuked by this message and asked God to rule my life but have never allowed Him to take control. I reflected and repented recognizing that God's time and my time is not always the same but from now on, I will submit to His authority. Thank you for enhancing my faith. I believe that God will provide.

I do not doubt that I am a "good person" but I have never trusted God as my personal Savior. I thought that I was a "Christian as I am a Sunday School superintendent and give regular donations to the poor". However, I was just a religious person like a Buddhist or some other faith. But God showed me in Rom. 3:23 that "All men have sinned". God is Omniscient; He knows my every thought and deed. I know that He loves me and that He must receive payment for the penalty of my sin. When I became afraid, I tuned to FEBC to hear the hymns and knelt down to ask forgiveness for my sin. Now I am saved, I know that salvation comes by His grace and faith; it is not based on my merit. Praise God! Thank you for airing hymns at the right time.

Mr. Hyung Jin Kim - Seoul, Visit (January 8, 2008)

Thank you for the beneficial teaching on tithe and contributions. I regularly give tithes and sometimes give donations to the economically disadvantaged people. Conscientiously, I did not give freely or gratefully. It is easy to become stingy especially for those receiving a monthly salary and having many expenses. Rev. Kim emphasized giving freely to God from the overflow of His blessings. I agree that God gave His Son as a free and eternal gift and that He will always be ready to give us whatever we need. It was a very rebuking lesson. God has blessed me so much but I want to measure whatever I give Him. After this lesson, I will do my best to give back to Him from a grateful heart.

Shalom!! Thank you for giving me a challenge everyday. God's Word is so sweet and the more I listen, the more I love it. It is a very beneficial program for those who want to study the Bible by themselves. My heart is encouraged by listening to 'McGee's Bible Study' so I am recommending it to my church members so that we can study together. Thank you for this godly program that is heard by most of our Bible study group members.
