(Hmong college student from Laos) [L-1197-1-Y]
I thank God that through your daily broadcast I have come to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. I also thank God that my entire family has also become Christians. We have grown spiritually through your broadcast.
The Laotian government sent me to North Vietnam to continue my education. After finishing, I will go back to Laos and serve in the government. Please pray for me that whatever happens, I will still follow the Lord.
It is very lonely here in Vietnam but your radio broadcast has always encouraged my Christian life. I can always feel His presence around me.
When I left Laos, I was worried about my family's faith. Please pray that they will not turn away from the Lord during my absence.
I probably will not write to you anymore because the postage costs too much. Just remember that both the broadcast you air helps me get closer to the Lord.

Thank you very much for the 3 scripture teaching tapes. All the teachings on the tape has helped us in our lives. Praise God for the Word He gives us.
I want to let you know that my family lives very far away from other believers. In order to get in touch with a believer or a church, I must take the bus or the taxi.
Do you think that it's possible for you to provide me with a bike? I am sure that if I had a bike, I can get to church easier and also possibly bring a church leader to where I live.
Your broadcast has really helped us to grow more mature. Keep on sending the Love of God to us through your radio broadcast. We desperately need your teachings to help lead us to Him.

I am a single young man who lives in North Vietnam. I have been listening to both of your daily broadcasts for a long time now but have never made a decision to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. The reasons are: (1) Christians break government laws (2) The government can torture all Christians without question. If you have any ideas on avoiding these problems, please tell us so that we can do what you teach.
Personally I feel that I should be the first one to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and see what eventually happens to me.
The government in Vietnam keeps a close watch on the Hmong people and the leader of the household. If anyone does anything wrong, officials arrests them. The catch is that if you are a child or unmarried and still living under your parents, nothing can happen to you. So, I plan not to marry and follow Jesus Christ.
If you do know any Christians or pastors that live close to me, please contact them for me so that I can find someone to help me become a Christian.
Several years ago, my father passed away. So, I had to support my family along with my mother. Should I drop out of school or go do farming to support my family? Please give me advice on this issue.
Please send me a Hmong New Testament. I want to study God's words and share about it to other people in my village. Thanks.

I am 19 years old and attending high school in the capital of Laos. My family practices Shamanism and grew up watching them worship evil spirits.
I heard the Good news of Jesus Christ through your radio broadcast and it really touched my heart. I sometimes wonder if Jesus will accept me to be one of His Children. If there is still room for me, could you send me some audio tapes to teach me to become a Christian? I really want to learn more on how I can be one of his followers like you and many others.
Please do not wait too long to answer my letter because I want to study God's words right away. Have you received my 3 previous letters that I sent you? There were so many times that I thought you didn't receive my letters or you weren't answering me because I wasn't a believer.
Please send God's words to me so that I will have a chance to become part of His Family. You daily broadcast has helped me very much. Keep on sending God's word to us.

I am a church leader that living in the Northwest part of Laos. We had about 10 Christian families a few years ago. By the grace of God, we now have 17 families.
I want to tell you that the local Laotian government arrested me once and threatened me because I was a church leader. When they were making their final decision on what to do with me, God answered my prayers and I was released.
Afterwards, I still kept on preaching the word of the Lord. Many non-Christians today accuse me of things that are not true. Some even try to kill me.
Pray for us now because we have 8 churches in our area. Sometimes I have to travel to several different places to lead in the church service. On top of that, there are many problems in my family. I wish I could sit with you and tell you the situation. But my hope is that someday we will meet each other in Heaven and then we can talk instead of you reading letters.
We lack Bibles, hymns, and literature at this time. If it is possible, please send us whatever you can.
Pray for us, because the crops this year are not yielding as much as in the past. If it is possible at all, do you think you can provide some finances to help us through the hard times?
I thank God because your radio broadcast brings hope to me amongst non-Christians. They look down at us and laugh at us because we are poor and ask why God isn't helping us. I am faced with all these questions but your radio broadcast encourages my faith in the Lord. Remember us in your prayers. Thanks.
