Hmong letters NOVEMBER-1996

(Hmong from Laos) [L-1196-1-Y]

I live far from other believers and it seems hopeless for me to go on. But I thank God every day that the radio broadcast can bring us a little hope. I just want to let you know that you are the only pastor that has led us ever.

Would you please pray for my son however. No matter what I have said he has done little to listen to what I have tried to say. Please include some instruction on this matter in a future program so that I can share with my son and pass it on to others.

Remember that families like mine depend on the broadcast.

Because of the Lord's blessing we have formed a new church. But at this time we need items such as books and such to suit us. If possible can you send us some times to help get us started? Thank you.

We praise the Lord for the broadcast that despite that fact that we have no books nor materials we can feed off the show and grow in our spirituality.

If you have any other materials that can benefit us, please help. Thanks for everything.

I am a single man living in Laos. I have lived many years with my relatives since my parents died. Thanks to the broadcast however I am not so down and out on life. Not too long after listening to your broadcast I have accepted Jesus Christ.

Now it seems I need a Bible and a hymnbook so that I can praise the Lord and do His work. Please also remember me in your prayers. I am very sick right now and need medication but I am very poor right now and can't afford the medicine.

Please do not forget my wish and best intentions. Thank you.

When I was in the refugee camp in Thailand I used to listen to your broadcast all the time. Because of it I have become a Christian.

When my family moved to settle in Australia I tried finding your station on the airwaves but it was not present. I searched and searched hopelessly but could find nothing. Then I decided to buy a short-wave radio. Later I eventually found your transmission and it really worked! Praise the Lord.

I thank the Lord that even if there is no Hmong pastor and congregation here in Australia I can still listen to the program. The blessings and joy I have received has been astounding. Keep on broadcasting. Others like me depend on it.

I'm telling you, many Hmong refugees listen to the broadcast too all alike. We need this so keep the broadcast alive.

(Hmong from North Vietnam) [V-1196-5-Y,P,A]

This is the second letter I have written you since serving jail time of five years for my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

After all the interrogations they found not enough to accuse and let me go. After taking five years of my life though, I returned. I found that my wife had nearly died. She ran the task of supporting the family and tending their needs. Praise God, and this is a miracle, that she is not dead.

Now I try to preach the Lord's good news to other Hmong people. Some villages loved me but others pushed me out, threw rocks at me, hurt me even. But I still never give up. I know that the Hmong people need God and Jesus as their Savior. After knowing God I want them to know Him also.

Keep on praying however. When I go to other villages I see that they are very faith keeping, but when watchdogs from the government come they put away their crosses and take out their idol like images to conceal their faith; to protect themselves.

I know it's not right but that's the only way to manage and to survive. Is it wrong to do that?

I praise the Lord that I have come this far and thanks for the broadcast to all those at FEBC. I am thankful that I am saved.

If by any chance you can send me a Bible and a hymnbook, I would be greatly appreciated. It would be great help. Thanks.

Thank you very much for the scripture teaching taped that you sent me. All has helped me to grow in the Lord's way.

I cannot afford a short-wave radio but I never miss a program. I usually spend the times listening to the programs on his daily. Every single program has really blessed me.

I am now a believer and my Christian brothers all come and listen to you on the radio. We praise the Lord while on air and sing along also. Keep on broadcasting. We all depend on it very much. Thanks.

I am not a Christian yet but I am very interested in bring a Christian. All my relatives are Christian except for me.

I want to know more about becoming a Christian and you're the ones I've come to ask. I heard that all my relatives got help from you and so I here I am. If any booklet or scripture teaching tape is available on this topic please send me one. I will understand His way and come to know God. Thank you.

I thank God for your broadcast from Manila. Many of us have come to know the Lord through your broadcast so keep the broadcast alive, so that our faith will not fade from the truth.

Many non-believers say that Christians have no values and that Christianity serves no purpose. In some areas of Laos the people really hate Christians. We don't know how to argue, instead we keep quiet about it and pray for them.

I praise the Lord for your broadcast and its value. Please send me a Bible and hymnbook if there are no problems. Thank You.
