(Hmong from Laos)

I am still a single young lady in the central part of Laos. I praise the Lord everyday for what your radio broadcast has done for me, and how much impact it has made for the young people's lives here. So many times have we faced a lot of heart ache and trouble, but your program always will always help us get back our trust in the Lord. Keep on sending His word to us.

My question to you is this: I dated a college student for one year and when he ventured off to the city to attend college there he came back and our love ended. Why is it that I could be so crushed by a dilemma like this despite my Christianity? What should I do?

At this time all of the young people in our church are very discouraged because our youth president is getting married to a non- Christian. I want you to teach more on how Christians should not marry to non-Christians.

Finally, do you have any Christian music that can encourage hope for us young persons? We want to listen to Christian music and its words more than secular music. Thanks.

I live in the northern part of Laos. I thank God that I have come to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ through listening to your daily broadcast. At this time your broadcast is coming loud and clear and we are having no problems listening.

In our congregation we have six shortwave radios that we share to listen your broadcast through. Everybody seems to be happy that we can learn God's word together.

In the area where I live, we have no problems with our government but we have problems becoming Christian among our relatives and our family. In my family I am the only person who is Christian. Everybody hated my family simply because of my faith and that they were related to me. They counted me as their biggest enemy. Would you and FEBC please pray that I can stand up for every circumstance and that Christ can be shining from me and into their lives?

Would you also send me a complete Hmong Bible and some other scriptures teaching tapes? We want to learn God's word in more ways than just your broadcast. Thanks.

At this particular time our government is forcing every Christian to relinquish their faith in God and go back to evil spirit worshipping. They have already announced to every churches and gathering congregation that whosoever refuses their amendment, that that person will end up in jail.

They also threatened us with so many scary things. We tried to question them but no one will reply with an answer. Almost every Hmong church is in the central part of the country is closed down now. Each family meets secretly in their own home or on their farm. We don't understand why our own government has had us do these things. Please pray for the government in Laos.

Because of the difficult situations like this, each person has to rely on your daily broadcast. We need your help and your word of encouragement.

Do you have any hand turnable cassette players? We are lacking batteries and we need audio at least one or two of the players to listen to your broadcast, so we can share Christ to others. Let us know what you can do to help us.

At this time many of us live in fear under the threat of the government of our country. Our church leaders have to hide from place to place. We don't know what our future is going to be like. We can only lift our heads up to the Lord. They accused us with so many untrue things, the government. They also forced every believer to sign forms denying Christ in His entirety, then go back to evil spirit worshipping. Those who put his or her trust in Christ will be put in prison for the rest of their lives. I can tell you that this time is the worse time in the history of our occupation of Laos.

Your daily broadcast is the only source that each one of us has to depend on. Keep on sending His word to help us grow in the Lord everyday.

Finally some of us can be put in prison any day. Pray that whatever happens we will still keep witnessing of the Lord. Thanks.

I am a church leader in the northern part of Laos. Since communism took over the country in 1975 I have been taking care of believers since then until now. Where I live we have a group of 20 families who are all believers. We don't have any pastor to lead us but your daily broadcast is always there to help us walk as close as we can to the Lord. Both of your block from the Manila are loud and clear and we have no problems listening to them at all. Through your prayers, your sermons, and all Christian music I cry. And I praise the Lord every time I listen to your program.

I have found out that several villages surrounding our group of believers are also believers. When I asked them how they came to find Christ, they replied that it was through their listening of your programs. I was surprised! The fruits of your programs has spread seed and grown itself through many different passes and valleys. I want to let you know that all of us live very far from the city and we only depend on you and your wife's programs.

Physically we are very poor. But we are rich spiritually. One thing that I want to request from you is that I have to travel place to place to help different churches. I achieve this by walking. I end up hurt at times both physically and mentally. Is it possible for you to provide me with a bike?

I am wondering why Christians are so poor and suffering so much more than non- Christians. Please remember us in your prayers, that we are facing death and hear gun shots everyday. Our hope is that through the Lord Jesus Christ and through your program. Thanks.
