(Hmong from Laos)

I am a student from the University of Laos. This year will be my last year. When I graduate I will go back home and be a public school teacher. I praise the Lord that through your broadcast that many others and I have come to accept the Lord into our hearts as our savior. I am so happy that not only I have come to accept the Lord but so many others in many different villages and provinces can also know the Lord.

I attend the Lao Evangelical church every Sunday and have learned many things. Hopefully when I go back home I will not only teach my students how to read and write but teach them about the Lord as well. I have a Laotian bible but I need a Hmong one. May you send me a Hmong bible if there is one to spare? Or can you send me at least a Hmong hymnbook with some instructional audio tape?

My question is this: I come from a small village. How can I teach them about the Lord? There are virtually no other believers that I can share my fellowship with. What should I do?

Please send me some materials so that I can share about the faith to others.

(Hmong from China)

This is our first letter that we have sent to America. We are pleased and over joy that these pieces of paper that we have written will cross many skies and oceans and bring the news we have to you pastor. We are grateful as well for the good news that is brought over the waves to us. Though these programs we have accepted Jesus.

At first we did not understand what you meant about loving the Lord and all. But as the days went by our knowledge and want to learn grew. Soon we dedicated our lives to God.

Our question however is very personal. Before we came to know the Lord, as a couple, we were involved in two of our own abortions. We know that this is wrong, but can God forgive us for killing our own children? We are sad and all we want is forgiveness. We are afraid that God will not forgive us.

We praise the Lord that now we have a son and daughter. They both also love the Lord very much. And we pray that our two children will grow up and serve the Lord as well.

In China however we have struggled as people. The government will not allow us to have anymore children. But we want more children pastor Because of the heavy fines and punishment for having more children, many other persons must be forced in having abortions.

Keep on broadcasting You and FEBC are the only inspiration of the Lord that we get here in China. Keep on sending the love of the Lord because without it we cannot survive.

Finally, pray for my husband. He is a church leader where we live. We want to teach more people about God and the power of the Holy spirit. Please pray that we will achieve the maturity in God that we need to survive. Thank you.

This is my second letter that I have sent to you. First of all, I want to express my thanks and appreciation's to both of you for sending the materials I requested. After listening to all of them I have discussed with my father about becoming a Christian. The response I received was very hopeful. 'I am tired of the old religion,' he said. 'If you can find another way of life, I will follow.'

On the same day other families were calling for the pastor to rid of spirits in the village. We were very happy to flee from the bondage of demons.

My family has always lived in fear. After 1975 many terrible things were happening to us. Some family members were dying without cause and we could not stand each other for reasons we did not understand. We could rely on no one for the longest while.

But now we have joined a Hmong church where we live. We attend service every Sunday. But we have no ideas how to live our lives as believers. We don't know how to pray and we only have a Laotian Bible. It is hard for us to understand some things. Can you send us a Hmong bible so we can share with others?

Keep on sending the love of Christ. Because what we learn from the local pastor is not clear and we like what you teach.

Finally can you send me a Hmong bible and hymnbook? So many others and I can learn.

This is my first time that I have written to you. Thank God for His love and mercy to us all.

I just want to let you know that I have been listening to your broadcast for many years but I have never expected that my family and I would someday come to know God. But when the Lord's timing is right and His calling is strong to us, we can turn and believe in Him.

In the past, my family and other close friends were facing many terrible consequences. The devil tried to destroy our families. When one person died, another person would die. This would happen 3-4 times a month.

We went to see a witch doctor to answer the riddle of the mystery and to fend off the evil. He said that it was punishment for something that our grandparents did sometime ago. The only way to escape was to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. We then decided right away that we would consult a pastor.

Four hours away a pastor arrived. That very day 35 people including our family accepted Jesus Christ.

Would you please send us a Hmong Hymnbook and Bible? Or anything that could be helpful. So that we can learn about the Lord correctly.

Finally pray for us. Non-Christians are always looking down at us and threaten us. But we will not be afraid no matter what happens to us. We need your prayers and daily encouragement. Thanks.
