(Hmong from China)
This is my first letter that I have written to you. I want to thank you for being able to send the love of Christ to the waves of radio that are transmitted to us. My family and I always listen to your broadcast and we are grateful for it. There are many people that really need this kind of teaching daily.
I have three questions and/or requests that I would like to ask regarding faith and religion, among other things:
1. Is it true that Jesus Christ is going to return by the year 2000? There is word of this spreading among the Hmong villages. What should we do if it is true? Or what it does not pass?
2. Where we live the government allows couples to only have one child. We have to at least four years to get permission to any more children. If we are pregnant, we are either forced to have abortions or we will end up in jail. My wife and I have already had three abortions and we knew that being pregnant was illegal. Is this right what are doing or is this the government's fault? And can God forgive us?
3. Would you please send me the complete Hmong Bible? I heard you talking about the new version of it on the radio and I desperately need another one.
Thank you for everything.

Thank you very much for your love and care for the Hmong people in Laos. Everyone here, including myself, would like to send our thanks to you and to FEBC for all the work that has been done here in God's name. We have gained a lot of knowledge from the programs that have been played on the radio and we hope that you all will keep on broadcasting.
The two scripture tapes that sent to me have really helped our family and more others in the village. We are grateful for your sermons and the songs that you have put together in your teachings.
One last thing, we are facing a lot of problems and hardships right now but God has always been there to give us strength and has shown that we must live for Him daily. Please remember us in your prayers.

I am 23 years old and I'm married with a child. For a while my life was in good hands. I was working as a government teacher and my family was living successfully together. However in 1992 my dad passed away and so two years later in '94 my brother died as well. The result of their deaths was from that of an evil spirit.
My family now knows not what to do. We live under the bondage of an evil spirit and we do not know how to escape the dark terror. As a worker for the government I must report any major life changes to them whether religious or economic. They have been watching me closely.
I have seen many Hmong Christians put into prison that are tortured in different ways. Christianity would help our Hmong people leave from the trapped walls of evil spirits but our government would never allow that for us.
I always listen to your broadcast and I am so glad that you are a 'real' Hmong person. I can understand everything you say and I can relate to the stories you tell everyday. The truth is, Christ is probably the only salvation for the Hmong people now. Please pray that my family and I can become His children someday.
Finally, can you send me a Hmong Bible and some literature so that I may study God's word? Thank you.

Though I listen to your broadcast daily, I am not a Christian. However the things you've preached about have really touched my heart. At first I didn't believe that a God above could exist, but the more I listened to your teachings, the more I knew that God would fill the missing void in my life.
I have written you before and I thank you for answering my questions and responding to my requests. All of the material that you have sent has really helped me to understand the Lord Jesus Christ better.
I pray that God will continually bless your ministry and that your work will lead many Hmong and even non-Hmongs to His Kingdom. Please remember to pray for my family, that we will all accept Christ one day.

I am a college student in the east part of Laos. Even though I have heard about Christianity for years, I have never openly talked about it or made a stand to hear about it from others.
After listening to your daily broadcasts for years, I have come to love and listen to the teachings of Christ more and more. Would you please send me some information regarding how I may accept Christ? Churches are scarce where I am residing.
I also need your help on how to live as a youth in the communist land. What should I do to survive when trouble and hardships come my way? Keep on broadcasting. The program has been my final trust and dependency. Any available literatures that you might send me I will be grateful for. Thank you.
