Listener Responses - November, 1948

The following three excerpts are among the first published responses to FEBC's first station, KZAS (1000 watts on 680 "kilocycles"), which was officially dedicated on July 4, 1948. They appear in the November, 1948 Far East Broadcaster publication.

Karuhatan, Bulacan (Philippines):

"Your programs have brought to our home a spiritual rest. We have waited so long for a broadcasting station like the one you have now. Long time have we longed to hear sacred music in every day. Before KZAS is establish, we can hear sacred music only at Sundays."

Tangos, Navotas (Philippines):

"My neighbor told me about KZAS. We are very much thrilled and happy to hear songs of praise. We are eager to hear songs like that; songs that will lift us all to the heaven of glory. We are listening every evening."

San Fernando, Pampanga (Philippines):

"We certainly enjoy listening to your Christian programs. Every day when I get home from work I always tune in for your broadcast, because I find rest and comfort from God's Word which KZAS so graciously presents to the people. How we love to gather around the radio and listen to the lovely hymns and inspiring Christian testimonies. I praise God for the realization of station KZAS."
