Topic of the Month - Update on Local Mission

We took a vow to preach to Gospel to Tibet

I am a leader in a regional church. Sometimes I feel empty and believe I am worthless. However, God especially bestowed His blessing on us and our church was extraordinary prosperous. During the revival period, a group of young workers were called by God and were sent out to do His work. Now, we have many service centers throughout the country. We took a vow before God to preach the Gospel to Tibet. There are great difficulties ahead and we feel inadequate in many areas. Please pray for us. (#13594 Heilongjiang)

They traveled from Zhejiang to this impoverished place

Our church was recently built. We have very few Bibles and related materials. In addition, the church is located in a remote place and transportation is not convenient. However, the good servants of the Lord go to the trouble of traveling a long distance. They traveled from Zhejiang to this impoverished and destitute place where the minority Shui live in order to share the Gospel with us. The brothers didn't mind climbing the mountains and wading across rivers. They even got blisters on their feet sometimes, but they never complained. In a remote and backward place like Guizhou, they willingly endured the hard work and planted many churches. Most of the brothers and sisters in these churches are old and very poor. Some of them eat what they have during one season and cannot store anything for the next. There are even brothers and sisters who are so poor that there is only one pair of trousers in the entire family which they can wear to go out. But I thank the Lord who gave us eternal life and the hope in this life. Under the careful nurturing of a good shepherd, our spiritual has been able to grow gradually. (#14176 Guizhou)

Your program reminded me of a Korea evangelical team

Your program on evangelism and mission reminded me of a Korean evangelical team who spread the Gospel to the minority Yao in Guangxi. It was a short term mission team and each term lasted for 15 to 30 days. After hearing your program, I invited the worker in charge to our church to share with us the mission of their ministry. She encouraged us by saying that although you may have such a hard time there that even the skin of your feet are worn out, you may experience heavenly joy given by Jesus Christ. They used evangelical tracts to introduce to residents to the great love of Jesus. Some of them converted and some of them did not. Language barriers pose great difficulty. (#E1352 Guangdong)

Two sisters went to a mountainous area to share the Gospel

I live in an area populated by an ethnic minority. Two sisters of mine went to a mountainous area to share the Gospel and encountered many difficulties. Please pray for them often. I am writing to ask for some spiritual materials and songs so that I might send them for the holidays. Their spiritual lives are young and vulnerable. May the Lord strengthen their faith so that they may spread the Gospel and add to the number that are being saved. I hope the mission work in that area will go well. The life of the minorities there is difficult and their educational opportunities are limited. (#F0015 Guangxi)

I saw the Holy Spirit at work

I have listened to your programs for more than 2 years. DAWN China really touched my heart. I listen regularly to the program and carefully read the information you sent me on evangelism and church planting. I followed your instruction and I saw the Holy Spirit at work. I planted a church in my hometown which is in a mountainous area more than 100 miles from the city. As a result ten people were converted. Please pray that our church will grow healthy and strong. I requested prayer for souls to be saved

I requested prayer for souls to be saved in a remote mountainous region and for a church to be planted there. In a tiny village with less than 50 residents, over 30 were converted to Christ! At a funeral in another small village, another 48 were saved! I thank God who did this great work for us. I also thank my dear brothers who prayed for us. Please continue to pray that the faith of these brothers and sisters may be strengthened, take root and grow. May the Lord continue to help us in this field to save souls in every remote mountainous area and to build churches. The problem we are facing is that the workers are few but the field is large. I had a burden to share the Gospel in a mountainous area

I am a worker in a family church. Encouraged by DAWN China, my wife and I went to the countryside to share the Gospel in response to the Great Commission. We built one church and held weekly services in hopes of sharing God's Word. Recently I had a burden to share the Gospel in villages in a mountainous area and to plant churches there. Now I am preparing for that by praying, preparing messages and learning songs. Please pray for me. (#E2359 Fujian)

Our church has a vision

China has begun to act on plans to develop its northwest region. Our church has a vision, too - to bring the Gospel to the northwest region! We are planning to build Christian workers training centers and to build a three-million dollar educational facility to train an even greater number of missionaries. This is an honorable, precious and great mission given by God to this generation. (#4478 Fujian)
