I prayed to God to save me from drifting away

Your DAWN China programs drove me to review how I have wasted my time after conversion to Jesus Christ two and a half years ago. I find I have not grown in spiritual life and lost my enthusiasm in preaching. The grace of God have been upon me, yet I didn't care. But thanks to God for piercing my heart so sweetly through your programs. When I thought of re-committing myself to God, I feared and trembled. I prayed to God to save me from drifting away.

Through the Holy Spirit, I was told to go fasting to driving out an evil spirit in my heart. I did so according to God's will because I know it's God's love to teach me the lesson of praying. Through reading the Bible, I have insight now. I come to realize that I seldom prayed before and often grumbled. I know I am still lack of confidence and sometime doubt if I have done good enough in fasting. I was told by the Holy Spirit to write to you for spiritual food. Please supply me. I hope so much to offer myself for God's use.

I was touched and returned

I am a Christian and have been listening to your broadcast for four years. I was once very weak in faith. I left Jesus for several years because my unhealed illness made me doubt and disobey Him. Finally my fortress of faith collapsed under Satan's attack. In the midst of my grave illness, several fellow Christians came to visit, help and encourage me. Thanks to God's love through them, I was touched and returned.

One night later then, I accidentally tuned to your station. As I listened to God's words, my heart melted and my soul awakened. Since then I always listened to your programs. Your message help me understand Go and His truth more which I know I can rely on.

May God's words be realized in our lives

When I was going to graduate from university, I came to know a boy who was not a Christian. I loved him but I know "believers and non-believers have nothing to do with each other". I was engulfed in pain between choosing to obey God or own desire. During that period, you were talking about this issue in your program. Your message reminded me of God's will. Lastly I obeyed God and ended my relationship with him. Thank God! His words in Jeremiah 29:11-14 safeguarded and consoled me. Now I live in peace and is more certain of choosing God's way. God's grace and blessings behind impediment is revealed. From my heart, I praise Him. His name should be glorified.

I have been work on shift here for a year. As long as I am off duty on Sunday, I attend Sunday worship in a church. From some Christians' sincere, humble and faithful attitude, I know God is working in them. I am overwhelmed with warmth. But I have some reservation and questions on the other hand. The pastor seems to have favoritism towards more educated or richer ones who may not show genuine faith in fact. When I ask the pastor how to apply Bible to daily life, he cannot supply definite and convincing answers. The relationship between the church and me has been lukewarm. On one hand, I hope there is in-depth communication between the pastor and congregation. On the other hand, I cannot help being defensive. I also want to organize a youth fellowship so that young Christians can communicate, help and encourage each other. In such a way, God's words are realized in our lives. I am praying to God for guidance. I would like to have your advice too.

The gospel was spread here

I am a 16-year-old girl. After finishing my primary education in 1992, I was unable to continue my studies and went back home to do farming work. At that time the gospel was spread here and my whole family accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior. My father became a preacher later and often preach God's words in nearby places.

In our village there are about 40-50 believers while 9 of them are preachers. In the villages nearby, there are also believers and preachers. In every village there are several meeting points. We meet at home on different days. Believers will go the nearest point to attend worship service.

Having a good grasp of the Scripture is of paramount importance

In 1992 spring, I came to believe in Jesus Christ when I was going to die because of serious illness. In March 1993 I began listening to your broadcast. God's words do nourish my heart. I know that "in all things God works for the good of those who love Him". The Holy Spirit resides in my heart and guides me where to go. For instance, when I know my church belongs to a sect of heresy, I left immediately and went to another church. Yet the people there believe yelling could earn external life. At the very beginning, I did not know how to recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood. Thank God that you repeatedly talked on this topic. When I wrote to you, you helped me with God's words. I thus left them and was finally baptized at my present church in November 1993.

From the process of seeking the truth, I learn that having a good grasp of the Scripture is of paramount importance. That's why I keep on listening to your programs, which do help me to grow spiritually, to understand more about God and to love Him more. In the coming year, I will strive to be a DAWN warrior. Please pray for me.
