Topic of the Month - Help and Support from Gospel Broadcast
You call us to fight the good fight
We started a small prayer meeting on Friday evening in an old sister's house in May 1991. At first there were 7-8 participants. After one year, the number of believers increased to 40-45, and there were over 100 in 1995. The tiny private house could no longer hold the increasing believers. So we moved out to an open space. Even more believers were added to us. That caught the eyes of our enemy, Satan. Someone reported us to the authority. According to the ordinance, meeting points that did not register are not allowed and offenders are to be punished. We were thus arrested and fined. Fortunately, several believers were relatives of the cadres at that area, and we were released. Thanks God!
After this test, the faith of all the believers were burning even more vigorously. We prayed earnestly in one spirit for many times and with many parties to ask God to prepare, God approved men and place. After many discussions, we decided to apply for the approval from the government to build our church. In the autumn of 1997, we registered with the Religious Bureau. Being officially approved and certified, we were given a plot of land with the size of about 2 hectares to build our church. Because of God's mercy, the work has been finished and now we have a meeting point. The number of believers increased to more than 500. We have Sunday services now. But the installment loan was still a problem to us.
It seems that there are even more difficulties before us now. But we are convinced that "I can do every thing through Him who gives me strength". At the same time, we heard your message saying that DAWN China needs our support. Believers in the mainland are responsible for reaching out our hands. This encourages us and drives us to fight the good fight.

Your broadcast heated my cold heart
I am a worker who came from a remote and poor place. Though my hometown was remote, the seed of the gospel was spread there. It rooted, sprung and grew up fruitfully. Almost every village has a church. Large ones have scores of members while smaller ones have only several.
I converted when I was 15. My sister and I were the only Christians in our family. My parents did not convert yet. This presented an obstacle to our faith. During the past two years, the growing of evangelical work was very slow. The situation of the church was not good either. Many believers drifted away and many churches were desolate owing to lack of leadership. I left the church and joined the working force because of my failure and indifference.
I came to Guangdong in 1996. In these 2 years of working life, I tasted to the full bitterness of life and suffered a lot. I got nothing in the end except sorrows. Nobody gave me consolation. I felt that people around me were all lovers of evil and darkness. They lost their uprightness and charity.
When I was engulfed by the darkness surrounding me, when I was perplexed and lost, I recalled the love of Jesus. My eyes were blinded to this world but now I see the light and hope that are coming back to my heart. Though I left the church, but the Lord didn't forsake me or ignore me. Accidentally, I heard your program in a friend's radio. The kind and heart-warming words attracted me and I bought a radio. I listened to your programs constantly since then. Your broadcast helped me a lot and heated my cold heart. I learn more about the Bible now and know how to handle some daily life problems.

I was deeply moved by your life touching message
At one silent night last June when I was lying on bed pondering questions about life that were difficult to get an answer. Just like standing on a crossroad, I was perplexed and hesitating and hoped to find a way out. I turned on the radio and suddenly I heard your program.
In fact, I listened to a short message two years ago but I was not willing to listen carefully, neither was I willing to believe at that time. As a party member, I received education of communism and atheism. Though sometimes I was afraid of God or devil, I thought they were lies made up by men. But when two years passed, I was deeply attracted when I heard the gospel again. I continued to listen to various programs of your station and therefore I got a more comprehensive understanding about Christianity. I was deeply moved by your life-touching message.
I calmed myself down and recalled the history of my life. I carefully meditated on the process and meaning of life, and various sufferings and difficulties I encountered in my life. Then, I tried to pray according to the instruction given by you. I repented my sin and I received Lord Jesus as my personal Savior.
I listen to your program, mediate and pray regularly. I found my life change wonderfully. I can experience these changes in my daily life. For example, I quitted the habit of smoking (I hoped to quit it by my own effort but failed), and the bad behaviors, permissive thinking and emotions like pride, arrogance, jealousy, vanity, selfishness etc disappear. On the contrary, I went along well with colleagues and friends with a friendly, honest and humble attitude. My heart was filled with joy and peace. I do my best on my job, I helped my parents, families, friends and relatives, I lived more positively. Through observing my life attitude and exchanging ideas, colleagues were touched by my witness. I could feel how real my Christian faith is and the great work done on me by Jesus and His powerful love.

Your sermons are great help to me
I am a Christian, aged 22. I am also handicapped. I cannot walk and thus have very limited chance of listening to sermons. The radio has since become my best friend. I like your programs and your sermons are great help to me. Each time when I am in despair, God will comfort and strengthen me through your broadcast. It's Jesus Christ save me from hopelessness. I really want to work for Him.

You share Christ with me
Suffering from insomnia, I always listen to radio at night. By chance, I tuned into your broadcast one day. From then on, I become your faithful listener.
I am an unmarried old woman, without family or friends. I live alone in poverty, more so for the past three years with the closure of the factory where I used to work. Since then my pension has been irregular. I cannot even afford a doctor when I am sick. I thought of committing suicide till you share Christ with me through the radio, enabling me to know that there is true God in the world saving mankind.
