They are hungry for the Gospel
My wife, Hou and I sometimes went to other cities/provinces for God's work. We always preach the gospel at train stations and ferry piers where many people gather, most of them indeed hungry for the gospel. I would like to share with you an episode on a train.
On 9 November 1994, we were on a very crowded train and got no seats. It was about 9:50 p.m. and we wanted to turn on the radio so that other passengers could listen to your programs. Unfortunately the radio was out of order. Hou decided to preach by herself. She preached loudly and urged everyone to believe in Jesus Christ. A young man protested fiercely. She tenderly calmed him down and would welcome his opinion after she finished.
About thirty minutes later, a train serviceman noticed this and tried to arrest her. Suddenly Hou was pulled down to sit beside a woman and escaped from the arrest. Hou then talked with her and the passengers around. The woman and some more else said that they were Christians but believed in private. They did not know how to preach the gospel. A young lady then began to testify how Jesus Chris saved her and her whole family. She also urged others to believe in Christ. She sang "I need Jesus" for them.
Later I started the topic on God's existence. This topic aroused most passengers' interest. The noisy compartment became quiet. Everyone was listening attentively to God's message on man's sinful nature and His judgment. After preaching for more than an hour, I concluded by singing "Follow Lord Jesus". Many passengers responded positively. They said that after going back home, they would go to church and listen to your programs. They agreed that Christianity was the only way out of this sinful world. A young man demanded that he needed the salvation at that very moment. Hou explained to him about repentance of sins and prayed with him.
Praise the Lord that people are awakening to the truth. This was truly the work of the Holy Spirit.

God knows my difficulties
Due to your relentless efforts, many fellow Christians have become loyal listeners of your programs. I always make notes and then discuss them with other Christians during fellowship.
Whenever I have doubts or needs, God helps me through your programs. Once when I was really drained and tired because of household chores, you provided me with the message on "How to deal with exhaustion"; when I failed to accomplish something and ended up feeling defeated and guilty, you broadcasted a message on "A Christian's life is like a war". Another time when my interpersonal relationship was at a low ebb and I didn't know how to handle them, I got the message on "How to deal with pressure" and "Make the most of time". I thank God for knowing my difficulties and providing me with ways to deal with them at the right moment.

We lack overall planning and earnest prayers
Our church leader knows little about gospel broadcast and holds conservative attitude to your stations. And so do others. When I share the DAWN China vision with them, they are ignorant and seems indifferent. I am sad and worried. Please pray that they will be aware of the importance of church growth. When I learnt that you are going to have fasting-prayer, I would like to encourage fellow-Christians to join with me. Please send me concerned materials.
The Lord has greatly blessed our church by adding the number of converts to us day by day. The questions are how to nurture them, to build them up and to evangelize. We lack overall planning and earnest prayers. We always pray for worldly desires but not God's kingdom and His righteousness. Some brothers have stopped attending church meetings while the remaining attendants are cold. We fail to witness God's grace in all aspects of life. Please pray for us.

It's He who gives me strength
Your programs are all-rounded. Different programs do meet different people's needs. "The New Generation" is particularly good for non-believers to contemplate Christianity while "DAWN China" for believers to participate in the great mission. "In Touch" suits those who search for the truth, "The Shepherd's Symposium" for teachers and pastors and "Light a Lamp" for late sleepers.... No matter which program is on air, I like to listen.
It is about time to talk about myself. Several years ago, I went to church out of curiosity with my sister and her husband. Yet I did not really believe in Jesus Christ. Later I found going to church a burden and a routine to please my sister only. I thought about Christianity seriously later and truly accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. I repented my sins before God. Since then I read the Bible and got insight.
There's no church here. We meet at a brother's home. One night we had fellowship as usual. Suddenly the local officials came and arrested us, saying that it's an illegal gathering. Everyone of us was fined. Since then some lost faith and some became too scared to come. Yet my faith was firmer than ever. Though we had only about 20 participants left, we fellowshipped as before. Until now no officials gave us trouble. We all understand that it's the mighty God who shields us.
